It's both. You get gold points the exact same way you got currency in CN. Only the missions that give Platinum Points from playing games are the achievements.

Those aren't the achievements, Einstein. The achievements are only the Platinum Coins with the word Miitomo on them.

You know, the ones you achieve by completing tasks while playing a game.

Which is what an achivement is. I swear.
