I had crazy record in Solitaire, well under 60 seconds, 30 something seconds if I'm not mistaken, but I lost the notepad file where I was keeping records.

I know it's tongue in cheek, but surely heavily bundled titles must be discounted from best selling games unless it's described as including bundled titles, when the majority were sold that way? How many Super Mario Bros would have sold if it wasn't bundled? 15+ Million? How about Wii Sports?

The top 3 best selling games, unforced/non-bundled, sold based on their own merits...

Tetris (Original): 400+ Million (Non Bundled, retail & paid downloads)
Minecraft: 75+ Million
Grand Theft Auto V: 60+ Million (Non Bundled, retail & paid downloads)

I find best 'selling' a bit dubious in this case. I mean it comes with windows. Aka the most popular and widespread operating system of the last 25+ years.

Has anyone actually ever bought solitaire as a standalone?

why would i?  it came for free with window.

and minesweeper was always the better game.

VGChartz has current and last gen console sales at a total of around 21M.  I'm really curious to know how many sold on PC/mobile/tablets.  Aren't there free versions as well? If so, not sure if those count.
