Right, let's compare GTA V on PS4 with Twilight Princess. :P

A Western Staple vs a Japanese Staple in Japan, Zelda would of kicked GTAV's arse, correct?

No lol, GTA V outsold Zelda by a good margin first week, and lifetime the gap will be even bigger.

What is my point is that, at this point of the year, sales always are better than usual, expecislly for PlayStation console.

Release schedules are nearly always good for this time of year too, especially on PlayStation consoles.

Which is where the like-for-like comparison to last year comes in to play that Boutros posted.  I don't think it actually has a particularly good set of Q1 games this year, especailly compared to last year.

(I don't think PS4 is doing amazing by the way, just playing devil's advocate, though I do think it's showing a decent base)

Oh, but i agree. Like i said, i think those PS4 sales are decents. My comment was just about who said PS4 is doing extremely well, so was not refering to you. :p

It's doninating a death market, when a failure console has a lot of stock problem. That's really means nothing. I think you will get my point in about a month.

So The Division outsold Zelda and was almost twice more expensive. Dragon Quest Builders keeps making more money than Minecraft.

A new game outsold a remaster? Oh my! Why don't you compare all remasters to LoZ for a more fair comparison

A new Western Game outsold a Zelda Remaster in Japan

so in a dead market it's managing to average around 25k for the first 3 months? now that's even more impressive.

the wii u stock problems are the difference between it selling 4k a week instead of 8k. the x1 is usually under 100. even without stock problems the ps4 is dominating this market and as you say it's dead, which makes the sales even better.

I mean, i really don't get why you compare those 2 games honestly.

Division did good, same Twilight Princess.

No doesn't matter if the market is death, the PS4 currently is the only console which is doing alright those weeks. Wii U is a fail, and XB1 is a joke.

Again, in Japan, like in the rest of world, those are strong months, and i think PS4 should sell more than this for sell "VERY WELL".

If 25k is the basis in March, you should prepare for a barely over ( if not under some weeks) 10k in April / May.

Despite less big titles compared to 2015 so far it's actually up YOY.  It will have another good few weeks and it will have a good may.

You can't call the market dead and then not call the ps4 sales exceptional.
