Forums - Gaming Discussion - Found An Interesting Pokemon Clone

Or, it found me. So I'm on Youtube and an ad pops-up but then suddenly the Pokemon Gym theme from the Indigo League anime appears and I look up and I see an ad for this "Pokemon" game. Of course, Pokemon clones are very common on the App Store and Play Store and some games even make homage to the series like Pocket Mortys. But this is no homage...

It's called "Super Evolution" but the ad called it "Pocket Masters". The ad also showed clips from the anime but when I searched for the ad it was no where to be found

Just something interesting I thought I might share out of boredom and just how ridiculous these app games go without any legal trouble

Wow lmao the copyright infringement is REAL.

I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't sue them for all they're worth. That s shameless infringement.
And the artwork is not bad, they could have called it Cutemon and called it a day.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

Btw if anyone is curious the ad shows up a good 50% of the time on videos showcasing this game on Youtube XD

and yet their not pokemon :p
I think their differnt enough that a judge might have trouble saying that its a copy right issue.

Ironically the art and voice acting (there is VA) is surprisingly professional for a very shameless knock-off XD

Those pokemon customs look pretty cool.

The issue lies in the fact the game retains the original Pokemon names and the ads use music from the anime, specifically this track, http://youtu.be/xDOtEeI8sOQ

The names might be a issue.. the music though... yeah that could probably get them sued.

Oh yeah, I downloaded this like 2 months ago to see what it was like. It was laughably bad.
