It doesn't take a genius to predict Luigi's Mansion 3 for NX. The last one sold several million copies, of course Nintendo will make another one.

The Wii U launched with Mario and got a second Mario at the end of the first year, yet the sales are, yeah, so he definitely isn't the sole factor, just a big one. Even then, the Wii U still sold out at launch and had solid 2012 numbers iirc. Zelda + other games + launch hype should definitely allow the NX to do similarly. What it needs to do differently is not have a drastic drop-off in sales after the holidays. I'm not saying delaying 3D Mario when they could launch it with NX is what they will do or even a better option, just that it's a viable option. Personally I think with the unified library they should have enough games to sustain 2017 until MK9 arrives so they can afford to have an epic launch with both 3D Mario n Zelda.

I think you cant really compare appeling of new 3D Mario game and 2D Mario game that basically looked like HD version of Wii game. Despite Wii U sales were still bad when Mario 3D World was launched, sales were much stronger than before Mario 3D World launched, I dont dare to imagine what sales would be without Mario 3D World.

Fact is that on launch only huge Nintendo fans bought Wii U despite weak launch games, right after launch sales were catastrophic, you have plenty of people that didnt want to buy console just to play Nintendo Land and NSMBU.

It's going to be difficult for me to hold off getting an NX for too long if the rumour about it being a launch title were true. But I'm not convinced - something about the quote from that developer seemed a bit off. Still, if there's going to be a LM3 in the next 5 years, of course it's going to be for NX. Where else would it be?

Where's the consistency? I'd be damn surprised if it's the handheld that's the power of the Xbox One.... then again... AMD's APU chips sets have taken a leap since the PS4 and XBO came out.

Maybe the rumours where its not as powerful is the handheld version and the rumours that say its really powerful is the home console version

Well, I'm overreacting, but after playing LM2 I really, really want a home console one.

I loved LM2 a lot more than the original. It just felt like such a good game and I really loved the art style.

... dont toy with my emotions internet. I was super dissappointed when LM2 was a handheld exclusive. One of my favorite gamecube games and i would be overjoyed to have another to play.

Have you played it on the 3ds? It's wonderful. I think it's better than the original.

i have not.  Unfortunaetly, handheld systems dont make practical sense for me.  I have a tv and i rarely travel/am standing in line.  $100+ for a system i might use once or twice of year is just a bad idea.    There are 6 ports i wish would've been wii-u ports; luigi, bravely default and every zelda.
