You said Xbox 360 was launched in middle generation, but fact is that isn't true. 360 arrived just one year before all others console of that generation, that definitely isn't middle of generation. NX coming 3 years after PS4/X1, I dont see PS5/X2 before 2019, so it basically will be in middle of PS4/X1 life cycle.

Mario Kart 8 was finished at beginning of 2014, I don't see why isn't logical to expect new Mario Kart game at end of 2017, also Retro finished DK at end of 2013, they are also on track to release their game in 1st year, there are definitely some 1st year projects we don't know anything.

It was the middle of the gen though only difference was the reaction that it forced, both Sony and Nintendo to drop their consoles, 4 years into the life of both the GC and Xbox is the middle of the gen considering average console life is 6 years and again you ignore the Megadrive which highlights this is nothing new.

It's not logical because the's no indicator saying as such, you've just thrown that assumption in to try and fill a hole in your stance, before E3 2015 people swore the were many more new title for Wii U as well. On a shared library like you've said you're going by MK would take a bit longer to develop in order to work for both platforms being multiplayer focused and Retro have yet to do a game that is a big system mover as Metroid doesn't shift consoles so would be pointless as a holiday title and DK only really sells to the userbase already there so again can't fill that slot as a holiday mover.

No Xbox 360 wasn't launched in middle of generation and thats a fact, you can still deny that fact.

Like I wrote, at this point nothing is certain, especially this rumour about LM, all we can do is assume and speculating. 3.5 years is more than enuf for Mario Kart game, we dont know on what Retro is working exatly, we actualy had rumor about Diddy Kong Racing 2, also we had rumorus about SB4 port for NX, not to mentione posible, Pokkemon, Animal Crossing, or some other games...so we can just speculate and assume.

Yeah well you can believe what ever makes you sleep well also notice how you've been unable to dispute the main point that releasing in the middle of the gen has been done before with success as even if I remove the 360 from the equation you have flat out got no response for the Megadrive so either way my point still stands and you're still at square 1.

Nothing is certain yet some things have indicators towards them like an NX version of Zelda and making a stance like "oh they can release Mario at launch because they might have MK the same year" is not logic sorry nothing you say can change that that's just making a baseless assumption with the latter part.

I ignoring Megadrive comparison because we first talked about Xbox 360 not about Megadrive. NX and Megadrive comparison is similar, because Megadrive was released 3 years after NES same like NX will be released 3 years after PS4/X1, but again that was in 3. generation of consoles we are now in 8. generation of consoles so you really can't compare 3. and 8. generations, also NX will be released 3 years after two strong competitors were launched. If Nintendo wants NX have chance to succeed in middle of generation with sucha popularity of PS4, VR arriving, X1 solid sales, NX need to have great marketing, good price point, great launch and 1st year lineup, good support, something new (maybe that unified platform, or some sort of gimmick)....all that combine, Nintendo needs to do whatever is necessary to maximise chances for success of NX in such circumstances, they especially need to that after their worst selling console because they can't afford another faile of that level.

I think that Nintendo will have big title for next holiday season despite 3D Mario and Zelda, I don't see nothing illogical in that. At end, I think 3D Mario and Zelda will be launch titles and that will be great move, I also think Nintendo will have good 1st year support despite they will release 3D Mario and Zelda at launch, you dont think like and thats OK, so I really don't see what you trying to proof.

Why can't we compare gen 3 and 8? Because you're unable to argue against the example? You're ignoring it simply because it proves the point and can't be be argued against, NES had a monopoly on the market in Gen 3 and yet Megadrive doing to same thing NX is going to do broke it, in fact Sega had a harder task back then and they did that by a long term plan after launch and not a big bang.

It's illogical when you throw in further assumptions to fill in holes in your stance and also it's prove not proof, you're the one who replied to me and keeps replying so obviously it's you trying to prove something.

Console market in 2016. is very different than market in 1980".

Again, nothing is illogical in believe that Nintendo can have big title for next holiday season despite 3D Mario and Zelda. I dont try to prove anything, I told you several times we have different opinions and I accept that.

Which still does nothing to disprove the point and in fact NX's situation is far easier than the Megadrive's as they have an open path with the portable looking to have no competition and developers aren't contracted to one platform either.

It's not what you believe it's what's been indicated currently and that's what I'm basing this debate on.

Yes, that statement is true. However, if you have a friend that is ALWAYS late to parties, events, etc, would you suddenly expect them to show up early to the next one? Sure, they have the capability to show up early, but you know that its highly unlikely.

That analogy couldn't be more wrong when compared to this industry.

It couldn't be more right when compared to Nintendo specifically.
