Apart from the lower FOV (100 vs 110) he's selling himself a bit short. PSVR actually has more subpixels, RGB vs Pentile, and can display at a higher fps, 120 vs 90.
If you compare the information content your eyes receive it's about 712 mega subpixels per second on psvr vs 445 mega subpixels per second on OR. And that by putting a much lower demand on the hardware, 60 fps reprojected to 120fps costs 119 MB/s (1920x1080x60) vs 222 MB/s (2160x1200x90)
But true, one is powered by a Ferrari, the other by a Honda. 90fps is better than 60 reprojected. Plus that Ferrari can add real AA and down sample from much higher resolutions.
Anyway I like that he says, it has to be affordable :)
