90+ in an eighth gen world? Wow.

Reading some reviews I have just gone from completely disinterested to thinking I will pick this up tomorrow.

Any word on the best version?

Yeah I was surprised too so I decided to see what it was like for myself. I am four hours in and quite liking it.

To be very straightforward: It's what you would expect from a good third person cover shooter with RPG elements. As for the fact that you are always online, I think it puts Destiny to shame because of how seamless it seems in comparison. Destiny is almost the perfect game to compare it too, and The Division seems to trump it in the majority of aspects. If you have any questions about the game feel free to ask me!

The best version technically? I'm not too sure honestly as I have only had my hands on the PS4 version

I haven't played Destiny. Its...sort of...on the list, but I have just never been sold on it given the numerous reports of mediocrity.

The Division on the other hand sounds awesome.

Have you been playing it single-player? Thats how I'd get into it.

The transfer from single-player to co-op is very seamless, to be redundant haha.

All of the things you do in the world can be done by yourself or with up to 4 players in a group - for instance all of the random encounters and world events. You can just run aroud and have fun by yourself if you please. Once you make it to a mission starting area you will be given a choice to matchmake to find group-mates but if you so wish you can proceed by yourself.

I've been doing a bit of both. Even when you are in a group you can go your separate ways and just teleport to each other on the map when you please. Yesterday I stuck with one guy I met but we did our separate things in the safe zone and usually played together during missions and encounters.

That being said the missions will level themselves depending on how many people are in your group; so the person who wishes to play single player is not at a disadvantage it seems.

Sounds like feedback is positive, I'm tempted to get it.

Wasn't expecting it to do so well :o
It's nice to see a tom Clancy game getting good reception like this.
Still not sure if I should get it because of the always online thing. I don't have the best Internet connection after all.

I might have to get his for my ps4 now. I'll wait another week for more reviews but it's looking likely.

Just to be clear - and obvious - for anyone who is considering buying this, it is likely that we won't have very many reviews for at least a few more days. Until then, if you wish to take my preliminary opinion on the game, I'd rate it somewhere between an 8 and a 9.

Those are some good scores. Didn't expect it to be rated that good. I might just buy it.

I'm more than happy that critics are seduced by this game. Ubisoft did a great job.
