This planet provides more than enough resources for all of us to be taken care of. Once we mature from a child species into actual problem solvers, discussions like this will seem silly because the one logical thing will be to help people in need. And Empathy is more than just an idea. Its a thing that humans who aren't completely broken inside by hate and money worshiping can feel.

I love your sentiment even if I laugh at your naiveity. People who think hate and greed can just end like that. Good luck.

Why I find these arguments so annoying is that they solve NOTHING. That's got nothing to do with the here and now.. 2016, the time we live in.

In 2016 people are starving, they are race and religious tensions and a whole lot other stuff going on. How the hell telling me about the future is going to help the situation. We could all be nuked to hell and back by then.

OT: You seriuosly think taking kids from one culture and forcing another culture on them - most likely against their parents wishes, is the solution. OK. May work. i doubt it.

I see a lot of complaints and criticism; not a lot of ideas.

The only good solution is for all the able-bodied men to go back to Syria and fight to make it a better place, but they (understandably) would much rather take the path of least resistance and move to less shitty countries instead of fighting to try and maybe fail make their home country less shitty, especially when there's no certainty that they'll live though the war or that their side will win.

Do you see the biggest problem here?
The vast majority of refugees are single men.
not familys, not women, not children

I am no "illuminati conspiracy" theorist. But I don't think this current immigration is going to end any time soon. There are motives behind it that won't allow that. It's going to get a lot worse.

@soonyfanboy
Apparently children make up some 8% based on some Red Cross report end of last year. Yet every photo and video features a child in the media, a deliberate attempt to soften hearts and minds.

Realistically, you would end up with with ten thousands of serverly traumatized adults, that would likely not be a big contribution to society at all. Most of them would probably resent their upbringing.
Think about it, first they have to endure the terrors of war and their own escape, then they get forcefully seperated from their families by a country that is supposed to be safe, while their family, parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and likely older siblings get sent back, perhaps facing death.

I'm all for immigration and integration, but that plan is a recipe for disaster.
The only way to deal with these people is to treat them with respect and a stern hand. It's a blancing act, but it's entirely possible to do.
First the randomness of who gets to stay and who gets deported has to be sorted out though. I've seen too many well integrated, hard working people being deported (/narrowly averting it) while all sorts of scumbags and criminals get to stay.

Why only the able bodied men? That's kind of sexist don't you think? Women can fight just as well as men can.

Although that said it would be pointless. There's already two sides fighting over Syria and neither of them would make the country a better place if they won. So people would have to fight both of them and win, with no supplies/equipment, to actually try to make the country better. And even if they were successful there's still no guarantee whoever took over the country would make it any better anyway.

Because they're culture wouldn't allow them to fight in the first place?

Theres alot of female freedomfighters in syria, culture doesnt keep them from doing that and not all of them are extreme religious.

But im sure its mostly men offcourse. :)

When you're suggesting fighting to make the country better surely that gives them even more reason to fight then? Changing that culture would definitely make the country better.

I'm not commenting on that.

Of course these things don't stop just like that, but at least he knows what is needed to make the world a better place, while it seems that you just don't care and accept all the bad things without thinking about how to end them. Therefore his answer is not naiv, it's a start.
