Hey man, did you see how much the Psone is kicking the N64s ass all over the place, it could be all over for the Saturn tho if the fight stays between Sony and Nintendo for number 1 and 2 spot! Maybe the EU numbers for the Gamegear will show that Sega still rules that market!!!!!!11

Can I haz new numbers now?

Lol did we just had a trip back to 1997 XP

Aye pretty sure it was the '97 release of FF7 that was the bullet in the head of the Saturn at least and adverts claiming you would need 150,000 N64 carts to fit Clouds Shiny CGI bike cutscenes didn't do the N64 any favours either... simplier times man.

Anyways Sleep! time to dream of new numbers! GN.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

The access to the site and the data is free, if it was a paid exclusive feature/site I wouldn't even be here, so no, I can and I will criticize and ask for a solution on it until the model keeps being free and does not change to a full paid model.

And the site never depended on the community of the forums to create and deliver videogames hardware sales data, so nope, the community has nothing to do with the problem here.

I never said you can't. I'm not your father. I can't tell you what to do. You can do whatever you want. I said you have no right to. Because you don't.

And yes, it did. If there wasn't a community making the sales data relevent, the site would have died off years ago. Nobody would care, the site wouldn't be profitable, the sales data would have lost purpose. They'd just wait for other sources of sales like the NPD or the publishers themselves to release numbers.

7/11 was a part time job

Wait what... we're meant to make threads talking about month old HW numbers and discussing them to prove we're worthy for new numbers?

I can't be reading that right... can I? I'm off to bed lol.

No, you're supposed to cultivate discussions based of the latest sales data period to prove that anyone cares about numbers being updated more frequently at all.

You aren't reading that right at all. Take a load off.

Site have lost one of they main goal. This is what made me become a member at first place.

How do I have no right? If I had no right, I would be banned for asking for it already, which won't happen, because I do have rights to deliver my opinion and it's not against any of the rules or the concept of this site, which is open for a free community to expose them.

There are two section of this very forums which are Website Feedback and Website Issues, so my opinion is actually wanted here, I have every right to create a thread, point a problem and ask for a solution of something that is an issue on this site, like everyone else.

I didn't say you were breaking any rules. Stop being so pedantic.

I shouldn't need to even explain this because it was so obvious and evident in the context from which I used the word, but I clearly meant "right" in the prerogative sense of the word, not the judicial sense of the word. You have no faculty or property distinguishing status within VGC granting you the authority to complain about this kind of stuff, the kind of faculty you would have if you were actively contributing in any meaningful way to any sense of demand or relavence of said information.

You are in no position of any consequence what-so-ever to complain about a feature that you, not as an individual but as a community, have stopped contributing to or utilizing to any extent that makes it evidently worth being consistant over anymore. I cannot be more clear than I am being now.

Yeah. It's frustrating/baffling/disappointing.

*sigh*

Does ioi mentions to you when he is to do an update?
Yours are coming quite faster than his lately xP

Machina's updates would come faster all along, but in the begining he was waiting for the hardware numbers update by ioi before uploads his own one. Probably, he fed up with that, and he does the updates of software regardless of what goes on with hardware numbers.

The one trying to be pedantic here is not me, though, you are even trying to explain me the meaning of a word.
Again, you are taking it as you are feeling to, while I'm not making no legal demand for the site to deliver the data because of any kind of supposed authority you think I'm entitling myself upen creating this thread.

I made a thread as a part of the community presenting an issue and asking for a solution, which is already happening as an Admin came to spare his time with me to do so, so just stop going off-topic, please, there was nothing wrong with the meaning, concept or execution of this thread, stop twisting it.

Thank you.

No, it's you. I had to explain it because you were being pedantic about my usage of it. No one said anything about a legal demand, so you are being pedantic about my word usage yet again.

Just because Machina correctly acknowledged an obvious flaw of the site doesn't mean that you had the right to complain about it. I never said being a month behind wasn't an issue. I said people have no right to complain about those issues when they aren't doing anything with them that makes it worth the effort. You have no right to complain about not being fed when you refuse to eat the few times you actually do have food.

I'm entirely on topic. You're complaining about late sales figures and I'm criticizing that complaint. I'm not twisting anything.

You are not on topic, you are discussing something else than the updates of hardware numbers, which is the topic, trust me, I'm the topic creator, you are discussing my "right" to do it or not.

So just stop it, 'kay?

The only thing off topic is you trying to veer the discusion away from my criticism of anyone's right to complain about the lack of hardware numbers in the first place to a totally off topic topic about who is on or off topic. Just because you don't like what I have to say doesn't mean that I'm the one moving the discussion away from the topic. I'm not. You are. With this topic. The one you just introduced.

I'm not going to argue with you over the flexibility of a discussion topic, because now you really are off topic.
