I always liked having a male only team when I was younger. Now I dont care as much (specially since I frequent Nuzlockes), but I still have the feeling of wanting males over females. Which is odd, because I like playing as a female on games except for Pokemon...

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

No, but I'm racist trainer.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Yes I am! I always want a female Froakie line, as that's the gender I got when I first played Y. Same with Pancham, Charizard and Archanine. I don't know why, I just love those Pokes as girls.

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

I think I read somewhere that there is a slightly bigger percentage of male pokemon than female pokemon, so I choose female pokemons when I'm using strategies like Attract or Cute Charm.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

For me Gardevoir have to be female so there's no chance I'll capture/train a male Ralts. It just isn't happening.

Yeah, I always get a female Gardevoire (Ralts) as well. And a female Mischievous as well.

How can you not catch a male Misdreavus and name him Loki?

Long as my Machamp has the right IVs and bullet punch, I'm good.

Somewhat. Some designs look better with male genders and some look better with female genders in my head. I'm weird like that XD

Interesting thing I read in Bulbapedia a few years ago: Back in Gen 2 it was impossible to have a female shiny with perfect stats because female Pokemon by default had ever so slightly lower stats in some areas -this was fixed in Gen 3. So in G/S/C it was beneficial to have an all male team

I never really cared for most pokemon unless it seemed like it didn't fit. Like I prefer female Mawile or a female Cleffa

In gen 2 it was impossible to have any shiny with perfect stats. You need DV 10 in all stats for shinies, perfect DVs are 15.

You're right. I was thinking about this and misquoted: "Since gender is also determined by IVs in Generation II, it is impossible to have a Shiny Pokémon with a gender ratio of seven males to one female that is female in those games, as the highest Attack IV a female Pokémon with a gender ratio of seven males to one female can have is 1, while the lowest Attack IV a Shiny Pokémon can have is 2"
