I had a friend who has, he was trying to find a Steelix in some cave and kept fleeing from the female ones.

Nope. My current team has 3 boys, two girls, and one genderless.

I never cared. I just caught whatever came up first.  I'd actually like if the genders had more differences. Because certain pokemon already have humanoid male appearances. The Machop and Timburr lines. Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Mr. Mime etc. Those should get female versions. Jynx should have a male version. The rest that follow animal designs. I don't mind that they look almost the same. Just like dogs and cats etc. Gardevoir and Galade gave me a reason to capture both genders.

I'm not a competitive player so I don't care :p

Just use the ones I catch and hopefully has the ability that I want

I don't get it. Would have absolutely no issue with a female Machamp or a male Gardevoir or anything else. Actually a female Machamp if anything would be kind of cool. But no, I basically pay no attention to the genders except when it matters for breeding.

Edit: And no, giving gender exclusivity to most Pokémon to reinforce gender stereotypes would be incredibly dumb.

I don't care, but I'd like my starter to be male.

Good for you, always 87.5% chances of that happening.

Not really, only time I really care about genders is when I wanna breed, or evolve Pokemon that require certain genders, like Male Kirlia to Gallade.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

In gen 2 and gen 3, I had male only teams. Gen 4 and beyond, my teams have been mixed.

Pixel Art can be fun.

The only reason I care for gender is when the design changes considerably. Like Pyroar male looks so much cooler that the female one or
