I never had an issue with the content that was locked behind amiibo because most of the time it was irrelevant but nintendo screwed up with TP HD and Kirby, that's the type of content you don't lock.

What did they lock in TPHD?

To be honest, I dislike any kind of DLC.

I miss the days when I could unlock everything in any game just by playing it instead of buying extra content.

It would'nt be so bad if Nintendo stopped bringing new ones out of their arse. If the old Kirby had that fonctionality it would be ok cause it meant that buying a old kirby is a investment to all kirby games. I have the kirby amiibo, so I have all future kirby games covered. Same for any other amiibos. But instead, your old kirby amiibo gets a slap in the face and you have to buy a SECOND kirby. That is what really pisses me off.

Have they come out and said that you need a spesific Amiibo for some transformations?

"Tapping the Kirby figure is the only way to get the UFO ability"

People who watched the direct also have been saying they said that there.

So are there stuff you cant get without the UFO ability? Like you cant get 100% in the game without it?

Im not defending it. Its shitty, Im just wondering.

They locked a dungeon called "the cave of shadows" behind the wolf link amiibo.

I think stuff like Early AAAccess and insanely expensive season passes are far worse. Yet another system having online multiplayer locked behind a paywall is also much worse in my book. In fact I really like Amiibo's despite some questionable implementations but that's because I've longed for Nintendo figurines such as these ones. Any in-game features are merely bonuses for me and so far they've been too insignificant for me to bother. I may check out the Super Hero Mode in TPHD but something tells me it'll make the game too hard and annoying for me to enjoy it.

i like amiibos, so i don't share your perspective.

Ok thats shitty.

Yup, lets start another shitstorm because a single hability out of 30 or 40 is unlocked with an amiibo. And one that was not present in the previous Kirby Triple Deluxe.

I mean I dont like it, I agree with you. But is ONE hability. In a game where you are constantly changing habilities... "worst thing of the generation" lol

I think is pretty reasonable specially seeing all those new cool habilities that are NOT locked, maybe they did the kirby UFO transformation but later they didnt add any enemie to give you that power and they leaved it as an amiibo plus? Maybe is too overpowered? I mean, is weird that more strange ones are into the game, like the doctor one lol.

Amiibo content is harmless enough, having to pay for online services is my bug bear of the industry. Thankfully Nintendo haven't gone down that route yet and Im disapointed Sony did.
