"Most are excited about this game and i cant wait to play it"

I highly doubt that, i still remember the shitstorm when they showed the actual game.

But i guess at the end of the day it's all about taste, some like Idol pop games and some don't.

The shitstorm wasnt even big, only few people hated it. Most peopled either liked it or didnt say anything. And it has alot if inspiration from japanese pop idol. Wich alot of anime fans love, some dont like it though, but its not only that

Sadly even if the game is actually deep and good, most won't even give it a chance, myself included.

Sorry, i just can't get past stuff like this.

Or this (spoilers, duh)

I hear the song and i just cringe, it makes me mad, i actually hate this game lol.

And who said otherwise?

Dunno, i think i didn't read all your quotes.

Wait, did you really say TLG is a meme?

TLG is more hyped because Team ICO track record is simply better than FE & SMT franchises.

Well of course, since this is the first one it makes sense.

However this whole TLG conversation started because I read we are not supposed to be excited about having a final confirmation and a very close release date of a game that was announced 3 years ago even if its from a top notch developer and had great reviews recently. But for everyone is totally normal to be excited about a game that was announced like 6 or 7 years ago from a team that has made 2 games in 20 years even when nobody has played it and the trailer showed nothing amazing.

Is that strong contrast between the perception of both cases what I dont understand, looks like a double moral and kind of pisses me off. And all the times someone has quote me to deffend that one deserves to be hyped but not the other, they were kind of giving me the reason.

Yeah the whole stuff about years didn't make sense, you are right.

I wanted this game so bad

Anyway i'll stop comenting here since there's really nothing else to say, i'll leave people who like this game in peace lol.

Because The Last Guardian will be good.

Reviews of Tokyo#FE are pretty good.

Reviews of The Last Guardian are not, because nobody has played it.

It carries alot of promise and alot of hope.

We have no proof it will be a good game, but we expect it to be one.

I think most of the hate was legitimate, I mean the metroid game looks absolutely awful! Fire Emblem is turning into a DLC whore game, where they cut content out to sell as DLC just like EA. Mario Paper looks cool, but it's no Mario RPG. The StarFox game looks A LOT better, but it's in no way worth 60 dollars, it seems like something worth around 19.99. The FExSMT game wasn't what people wanted/expected. It seems more of a Idol JRPG, but the game was expected to be a Strategy RPG where FE and SMT characters cross over. So anyways I think a lot of the hate is legitimate, like I was saying it wasn't what people wanted, that being said expecting Pokemon is quite dumb, as they already teased it, and we most likely won't receive any additional information about it until E3.

EDIT -Monster Hunter x looks friggin sugoii <3

PSn - greencactaur
Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

I guess it was ignored because it's not the game that people imagined it to be when they read Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei.

Or better said: No one imagined THIS!
A game about singing and emotions and questionable fight scenes where monsters are cheering in the backround everytime whenever you go into the fight.

Tell you what: point out where I said that nobody cares about Fire Emblem. Protip: caring more about one thing doesn't mean you don't care about the other.

Also, yeah, it kind of sold more than both combined? There's a wierd situation since they also shipped in a bundle together. But in actuality, no, it didn't: there are roughly 3 million copies of SotC out there. And this isn't counting the fact that every PS+ member received a digital copy of both as part of their instant game collections.

And yes, it did average out to a single point higher than SotC, and 2 points higher than ICO. That said, the average Metacritic for Fire Emblem as a whole is 86.7, whereas Team Ico games are 90.5. I suppose that could also be why the Internet is more excited for TLG than SMTxFE- because they KNOW TLG will be an amazing game, simply because Team Ico has never made anything else. Fire Emblem's track record could mean this is just going to be another "Eh, it's Fire Emblem, I guess I'll try it" release. And then there's that 80.8 average hanging onto the SMT numbers (with only one being as highly rated as either Ico game).

And no, it's not a meme. People were this excited over it when it was first announced, too. Why? Because, and I repeat, Team Ico hasn't made anything except amazing games.

So to reiterate: Never said no one cares about FE; no, Fates didn't outsell total sales of both Ico and SotC; Yes, Fates scored higher; No, Fire Emblem didn't score higher; not a single SMT was rated as highly as SotC; it's not suddenly been hyped because it's a meme, it's been hyped since it was originally announced because Team Ico has never failed.

That is a desperate excuse, come on.

And it makes little to no sense that we give more credit to a team that has made 2 good games in 20 years than teams that had made dozens of great games in the same time like Atlus and Inteligent Systems, of course the average of FE is worse, now take only the 2 best rated FE (the last ones) and the average is higher than Team Ico. TLG is more a meme than a game people is excited about, even the gameplay they show, while I liked it, it was nothing exciting and certainly nothing new, but memes are really strong, and this was a huge one.

You are the one that said TLG was more hyped because Team Ico has a better average score than the FE franchise, and you said also that people dont care about FE nearly as much as Team Ico despite awakening outselling both of their games combined lol

You are funny, you put weak arguments there and then you blame me when the argument goes against you xD

All of this started because I pointed that the "we cannot be hyped for a game announced 3 years ago" argument was stupid and TLG was the most obvious proof. And people come to me defending the fact that a game announced 6-7 year ago deserves hype but for one announced 3 years ago is already too late. Awesome. Doble moral? Nah...

And I think we should stop this already, I dont think my comment about TLG needed so many responses, and I'm afraid i'm gonna be banned for derrailing or something random like that when I'm just answering coments, so I would like to stop.

If anyone are even mildly interested in this game, I would recommend buying it day 1. I thought I had time with Project Zero 5(Fatal Frame 5 in NA), but no. Just had to pay about 100 bucks for it...

Great game. Stupid name. No dub.

And it really can't be overstated just how stupid that name is. SMT backwards isn't clever when the result is such a stupid, repelling name. People literally skip games based on shitty names like that. That, on top of the terrible decision not to dub it, is literally sending this game out to die. They aren't even trying to sell this game here, which is a shame.

It should have been called Performa. It doesn't need the reference to SMT or FE. That becomes evident in the game. Imagine if they called Kingdom Hearts something stupid like "You Escape Never Seeing Inside Darkness: The First Fairytale." Now imagine it released with Japanese audio only and subs. The game would have flopped hard, and there would have never ben a Yensid: FF2. That is literally how stupid a title "Toyko Mirage Sessions #FE" is.

I didn't have delusions that this game would shatter sales records, but I thought it would at least sell well enough to warrant a sequel. That has no chance of happening now. No Performa 2. No TMS#FE2. Just another cult-fucking-classic do to shitty marketing and no faith in a good game.

I feel you. This game feels like something I'll plan on buying when it goes on sale.
