Gotta buy it to confirm that it sucks? And then might as well keep it and play all the way through and I guess it wasn't that bad after all.

I kind of did that with Metroid Other M, except at the end I looked back and went "that was kind of still really bad."

Lets face it, what else are they going to buy? The next Skylander or Disney movie game?

Honestly though, if it turns out that it's like Sticker Star, I won't buy it.  I never beat Sticker Star because it wasn't really that fun.  Great music, good enough graphics, kind of nonexistent story, gameplay is boring.  I liked Paper Mario 3 way more than this game.

I really liked this when I first heard it, just fits so well.

Getting scores out of nowhere to prove something?

Woolly World has a 78 on metacritic, Paper jam a 77, Yoktai a 78. Thats more than most big blockbusters this gen, and they were not bad by any means, Specially Yoshi was awesome, this sounds to me like "Im angry for one thing, lets shit about everything"

Those scores are from IGN, I believe.

Then LOL

It's kind of amusing that this thread gets made after every single Direct.

Its kind of amusing that every Direct has unrealistic expectations, Nintendo said this was about games through summer so the logical expectations should have been new info on previously announced games, localization news, updates/DLC for already available games, indie/eShop/Virtual Console games, and a couple new announcements and guess what? That is exactly what they showed and is exactly what most Directs include.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

People often expect too much from these Nintendo presentations imo. This is the reason why most of them are disappointed later.

I expected nothing and I got something worse than nothing. Sticker Star 2.

Its not a matter of not meeting the expectations.I went to watch it expecting to get just updates on existing games and translations of games already available on japan. The problem is that, like in E3, they announced games we didnt want, and for me personallly, they presented horribly those games. If it wasnt for thiose things, it would be a solid Direct, without a doubt

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Nintendo need to just cancel the entire Paper Mario games and give us a proper Super Mario RPG 3. The first Paper Mario was fun and challenging the current itteration of the game have been so dumb down and really try to cater to kids.

Has for unrealistic expectations.... Nintendo performance over the past two years has been Mediocre at best. Splatoon and Mario Maker might be a shining star on what is horendous offering by Nintendo overall.  When Nintendo can't even be bothered to make a half decent Mario Tennis, this just goes to show how far the quality control has dropped from a company that used to make great games.

Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival Wii U - Mediocre

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash Wii U - 4.8 Bad

Yoshi's Woolly World Wii U - 7.4 Good

Mario Party 10 Wii U - 6.5 Okay

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Nintendo 3DS - 5.9 Mediocre

Yo-Kai Watch Nintendo 3DS -
7.2 Good

These were the major Holiday 2015 Nintendo games all score came from IGn.com..... Since Mario maker just missed out on the Holiday windows.

Yoshi's wooly world while being a decent game it's primarily designed to be played by pre schoolers and cater to a general audience. It's bad enough that Nintendo has so few games coming out in the holiday 2015 but most of them were simply just bad.

2012:
Nintendo Platformer 84
Nintendo Land Nintendo Platformer 77
SiNG Party Nintendo Miscellaneous 60
2013:

Super Mario 3D World Wii U Nintendo Platformer 94
NES Remix Nintendo  Miscellaneous 71
Wii Party U Nintendo  Miscellaneous 65
Game & Wario Nintendo  Miscellaneous 61
Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games Nintendo  Miscellaneous 55
2014:
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Wii U Nintendo Fighting 92
Bayonetta 2 Wii U Nintendo Action 91
Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 1 Nintendo Racing 87
Bayonetta Nintendo Action 86
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Nintendo Platformer 81
Pushmo World Nintendo Miscellaneous 80
2015:
Xenoblade Chronicles X Nintendo RPG 84
Yoshi's Woolly World Nintendo Platformer 78
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash Nintendo Sport 59
Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival Nintendo Miscellaneous 46

These are the holiday release from Nintendo as per metacritic... considering that the Wii U is not getting any 3rd party support like PS4 and Xbox One. That's simply just not going to cut it. The Wii U is in its third year on the market, Holiday 2015 should of been one of the biggest year for that platform. Except Nintendo is only showing that they completely abandoned the system and are willing to realease any crap they can quickly produce.

Paper Mario in the same strain as TTYD and a Metroid in the same strain as Prime wouldn't have been difficult. Instead Nintendo came to the table with things people don't like.

Which I'll add is very unlike Nintendo.

It was just a bad Direct, imo. No need to make a thread to complain some people didn't like it as much as you did. These threads crop up every friggin Direct, I swear

A little salty? XD but yeah I agree.. But I mean, most of the time they do have too high of expectations. Like Zelda U footage. I'm guessing they are keeping a lot of the games people really want for the NX
