Hero mode is kicking my ass and I'm loving it.

Its a HD port. Its not a remaster like TLOU:R was. Its also not a remake like FF7:R. I think you may have been expecting too much outta this game man

If they charge full priece for the game, they should put as many effort into it as in any other game they charge full priece for.

Stop being so unrealistic, do you expect them to do a full remake of the game now? Dont you realize that would be almost as expensive as a new whole zelda game? It makes sense for you to waste years of some of the main Nintendo studios and dozens of milions in a remake of twilight princess?? Because I rather that effort put into another thing, like the new zelda or the next Metroid, but not TP.

As a remaster is as good as it can be, and has way way way more changes from the original than the average remaster, so i dont see why is not worth 50$, is not up to you to decide that, when I go to see a movie I pay always the same price independently of how was the budget of the film or the time they needed to film it, so I dont understand why people gives always so much importance about that in videogames, is the product worth it? Thats the question, and nothing else more, does the people thinks a full remaster of TPHD with all the improvements they have done is worth 50$? Sales and public reception will give us the aswer, but I would say is a big YES.

i got it because I never finished TP and just played it 9 years ago on wii.
Its a compelete new game to me, I remember nothing so far.

Have to admit its really lazy work so. Graphics are on gamecube level.
They didnt included a manual in it (just electronic one, come one nintendo...)
Still charge 45€ for it.
Remasters on Xbox and PS arnt better, but they give you way more content for your money in general (Halo MCC, Uncharted NDC are several games for that priece with the same work into it).

To be honest, TPHD should had looked like this is they want charge 45 bucks.

What exactly is the difference between an HD port and a remaster? What does TLOU do over TPHD to receive the remaster moniker?

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Just as I remember from 10 years ago - an awesome game. The remake has great new textures and the gamepad functionalites are also a great addition. I also like collecting the Miiverse stamps.
However, I wish they would have done more to the character models and shading...

I played it for a while this morning. I've only played the Wii version of the game in the past, so playing with standard controls does feel a lot different, but I do like it more this way. I don't notice much in the difference of graphics so far, though I don't really have an eye for that anyway. Resolution looks nice on a big screen, though textures are still pretty flat. Grassy areas still look like giant green rocks, and I'm still not a big fan of the character artstyle.

On a more positive note, I'm really glad that Hero Mode is available at the start, as I remember this game being pretty easy the first time around. Lots of little changes that make the game more enjoyable, like a bigger wallet and lantern oil meter. For me it's well worth the price, but I'm also a big Zelda fan. Still an excellent game, and I'm enjoying playing the definitive version.

I was thinking about starting on Hero Mode, but, fuck, I haven't played the game non-mirrored, so I don't want to play the game mirrored, again! XDD

Remaster is really  just a prettier word for port as far as games are concerned

I decided to go digital with TPHD. I hated the Amazon wait. Last time I ordered from there it was Bayo 2 and I didn't get it for 10 days after it launched. I was really disappointed. Hopefully you guys get your copies soon!

It's only 10 days...

Lol, I remember when I ordered a game case from Club Nintendo, took about a month. I was jumping when it came into my mailbox.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

So I did get around to picking up my copy today.

Played for 2 hours and I'm at the Hyrule Castle now. Needless to say, the game's genius, though the good part's obviously still to come. The amiibo, my first actually, looks great, of high quality. These things are cool as figurines. Speaking of this remaster; the picture is very, very clear. Textures are sharp. I could actually see what some characters really look like now! Shadows are sharp as well.

It does have some issues though. In those 2 hours, I've already seen multiple cases of minor glitching in the same shadows. It also suffers from framerate drops, which, considering I don't remember either the Wii or GC version doing that, is pretty disappointing.
