I think it explains a lot. It started as another DS spin-off of the prime series, like Hunters, with low quality graphics. Guess being released in 2010-2011 would have not generated any hate.

It was in development on DSi, development was stopped because the system couldn't handle what they wanted to do. Development resumed when the New 3DS was close to completion, so development restarted on that, because the extra horsepower and control options made sense. All that was covered in the broadcast.  

It likely re-entered development sometime after or around Luigi's Mansion 2 was launched, which Next Level developed on 3DS and was in development in 2010, when 3DS was first announced. It obviously hasn't had seven years of development time, because Next Level launched another game in that timeframe.

Mostly stuff we knew about. I'm pessimistic about Paper Mario, but it isn't as though Sticker Star was so horrible that it can't be spruced up into something decent. Not interested in #FE cause I'm not big on Jpop.

I'm a big Kirby fan, so that kind of saved it for me. 6/10

The direct wasn't that bad, despite the fact that Nintendo now completly starts with all this pre-order, season pass and DLC shit like the big publishers.

7/10. I liked it.

- Paper Mario looks good. I don't care about Paper Mario. Probably won't get it. Looks good though.
- TMS#FE (icwatudidther) looks awesome. Stupid name. Fuck not having a dub. Fucking Devil's Turd and Project Zero Sales got dubs. Fuck you Atlus. Love you.
- Federation Force still looks ugly. Still looks fun. Still won't get it maybe.
- Glad that didn't show Zelda. The Blackout continues.
- New Kirby looks like a fun game I don't care about.
- Star Fox Zero still looks like shit. Star Fox the other one look meh. Glad they stopped delaying the inevitable.
- Monster Hunter Generations looks really good except no real story so no real buy.
- No SMT4F localization what the actual fuck!?
