I looks like a movie that in no way needed to be made

I remained optimistic until the black chick said "Awww, HELL NO!". That was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I don't know what they were going for. Alienate all of the old fans while appealing to nobody? If that's the goal, good job. I'm just glad Harold Ramis isn't alive to see this monstrosity.

Not just that but like they picked a typical ghetto woman. Surely if you going to represent woman in a movie they do not need to be  sterotpical type that are put in as a token.

Plenty of smart black women out there, Why couldn't she be a scientist? If anything Melissa McCarthy should have been the one without the degree and be the clown to the three serious ones as her actiing would fit that roll better.

The humor in the old Ghostbusters movies was more kind of being subtle and there was still some moments of horror in it like the tunnel scene with the decapitated heads in Ghostbusters 2.
Obviously it is too early to judge a whole movie by its trailer. But the trailer tries to sell me a product and all I saw was cheap "scary movie franchise" like slapstick comedy in your face.

It is so bad that it stays bad.

If there will be a parody of this movie by these guys who made Scary Movie 5 they will probably copy the jokes 1:1, because that's how low they roll.

Which will be the next classic to get this treatment?!

That's a damn good guess! Just the right amount of nostalgia, it's a popular name, it's been almost 20 years since the last one. Yes, I can see Hollywood fucking this one up in the near future!

I..don't know what to say besides :
This looks horrible, it doesn't have any of the charm that's present in the original.

Police Academy I think will be the next one.
