Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rocket League Championship Series has been announced

Check it out! It's an official eSports league for the entire community, partnered with Twitch:

So how does it work?

To clarify, as you can read on the site here http://www.rocketleagueesports.com/

Grab two friends and form a three-person team, then register starting March 25 to compete in the first season of the Rocket League Championship Series! Each RLCS season will span three months and feature teams from all over North America and Europe. The top-four teams in each region will be invited to compete at a live International Finals event for a shot at glory and their piece of the $75,000 prize pool!

*apologies for aids font*

The series is open to PS4 and Steam players and will be open to broadcast live on Twitch. I think the most interesting part here is how big the prize pool is; $75,000 is quite a chunk of cash compared to previous pools! I'm glad to see Psyonix finally creating an officially sanctioned and fully bolstered eSports event for anyone to take part in.

What are your thoughts?

OMG, $75k O_O
Rocket League is finally getting some money put into its eSports scene
Maybe the days of a $500 tourney pulling the best players in the world are over

Oh and just noticed lack of Xbox

Edit: Also just realised that even if I was good enough I live in Australia and wouldnt be able to take part in it anyway -__-

About time, rocket league is perfect for e-sports.

Well we might be but ugh its garenteed win for the home team if it was a US or EU vs Aus team. The lag would be insane
