The Wii U has enough games coming past June to warrent significant focus.

If they want to dedicate E3 to the NX, then yes, there will be little to no information for the Wii U

So two confirmed Wii U games, one being multiplatform with the NX version obviously gonna get all the focus, leaving us with only the already out in a region SMTxFE so all they can give us is the release date which will probably be done tomorrow. That does not warrent any focus at all lol.

Of course it does. Stop pretending they don't do this kind of thing. XCX was out in Japan for months and got a huge focus at E3 last year. #FE is running off far less info pre-E3. Nintendo is going to treat its audience like they've never seen the game before, like they do with literally every game they localize, especially when they've teased this game for longer than any other game on the Wii U's library. And there's Paper Mario/Pikmin 4. That's three major big budget first party games coming out this holiday. It doesn't matter if you think it warrents a focus. It's getting that focus like that stuff always does.

Always does, except in all those E3's listed in the OP. Super Paper Mario, a way less niche game, couldn't even get into the 2006 conference. The XCX comparison doesn't work as it had no competition for screen time last E3, certainly not new hardware. Btw Paper Mario n Pikmin 4 are not confirmed for Wii U, but you knew that already.

It's not 2006. It's 2016. It's not one less niche game, it's three big budget 1st party games. Just because Nintendo didn't confirm yet something doesn't mean it's not happening. The Paper Mario rumor is specifically for Wii U and comes from three sources simultaneously who all have gold records for legit info. On top of that, the leak that outed Pokemon Sun/Moon, as well as 3 other games, says that there is one unannounced major first party game to come this holiday for the Wii U. To ignore all that evidence for at least Paper Mario releasing this holiday for Wii U is to be willfully naive.

If Sony can force themselves to talk about Vita at every conference Nintendo can too!

Pikmin 4 was never confirmed as a Wii U title. It could well be for NX.

Anyway, I agree... I think they won't talk about Wii U during E3. Maybe just a mention that Zelda will also come to Wii U at best.
