Forums - Nintendo Discussion - RUMOR: The European Version of Bravely Second has the bad endings removed, only the good endings remain

Judging from the replies to this thread, it looks like Conegamer is the only one who bought the game. Also judging from the replies, almost nobody has played Bravely Default.

I bought the Deluxe edition. If I start bashing, would that make it acceptable?

Updated the thread title...at least until we see confirmation.

Seriously though, I hope this gets clarified soon.

From what I've seen all of this mess originated from a GameFAQS post. That already makes me weary but I guess we will have to wait and see.

Also I've been hearing that SE is the one who made these changes (like that's going to stop people from jumping on the anti-Nintendo parade). My theory is that if this is true it's just a case of SE pinching pennies. Keep in mind it costs money to translate text and get VAs in the studio.

You got the deluxe edition as well? The one with the CD and artbook? Nice!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I don't know, I asked my friend who's playing Bravely Default and he said the side quest keep the decisions in the game. He has to decide if to kill one man or the other man. I don't know if there's any significant difference with the Japanese version, I'll keep asking him xDDDD.

Well, that would be lame. Wouldn't stop me buying the game, but still, I love getting 'bad' endings in games. Recent cases in point: DanganRonpa 1 & Tales of Xillia 2 (that second one took a lot of doing to see).

I disagree. I see no point to "bad" endings. It just leaves you unsatisfied if you don't get the canonical ending.

Waiting on mine being delivered. I have no idea what I'm in for.

I've played the first game and the demo of the second one. It's going to take a looooong while until I'll get Bravely Second because I am certainly not going to pay full price.

A couple of the people who own a copy are already far enough into the game to say that choices are still in there, so the rumor seems to be bogus.

I don't know that first hand, but a friend of mine confirmed to me that there are still choices, calling the debate "bullshit". I don't mind a lot about having a debate about Nintendo's censorship, but likes make me mad. It's like a hate campaign.

Bad endings are the punishable result of the gamer's incompetence, that's the point. Of course you want to try again to get the canonical ending; the idea of a bad ending (not an evil ending, but a bad one) is to leave you unsatisfied, confused or angry.
