Question: Why does it say that Mortal Kombat was made by Sega?

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

It's a mistake it should be Acclaim; I'll fix it. Do you have any old gaming mags...?

So did anyone find their old EGM issues (or any other mags that had sales charts)...?

damn...I had a whle bunch but threw them out years ago.

This would be cool if people helped out fill the data. This site doesn't have the data on the 16 bit war other than japanese data. Sega genesis whooped Snes's ass from 1992 to 1994 in software sales in USA...

Seems everyone just threw away abuncha classic EGM issues... ;(

How do you know Genesis SW sales surpassed SNES b/w 1992-94? Do you remember seeing sales charts from EGM before 1994? We're not even sure if EGM (or any American magazine for that matter) had sales charts as far back as 1993, 92, 91, etc.

well i'm sure sega had a bigger userbase for quite a while with the 2 year headstart, you could almost say it is similar to the 360/PS3 situation now, where it is certain that PS3 will pass it but 360 continues to enjoy the lead for a while and have good software sales.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

EGM did those most popular and most wanted lists. Snes hardly had games in there for a long time. Only in 94 did they start to show up but genesis was still more popular until they switched over to the saturn.

Whoa! I didn't mean that far back. Does that mag have NES charts or 16-bit? Those aren't AMerican charts are they (seeing Mega Drive instead Genesis)? :(

Well I really can't tell if they have nes chartz because this is the first time I looked to the chartz in the magazine.

I had to make it bold but if you look to what I typed you see two dates July 1984 and October 1990 => After the date the chartz of the month.. I think it are American charts but again the magazine doesn't say it is or isn't (UK magazine).

Well Retro gamer always recap two game months in history it is pretty interesting, especially if you into retro gaming. The chartz maybe interesting for you but maybe also the magazine :).
