Im looking for more a Apples to Apples comparison since KI is an Arcade Fighter i want to compare and read peoples opinions on how it stacks to other Arcade Fighters. |
I still have to disagree though. Mechanically I find GG to be much better and I'm sure SFV and Tekken will both be aswell.

I think it's what people want from a fighter. I can't get into most fighting games. The exceptions are only 2; Fight Night series and Street Fighter.
I used to buy MK just for the death moves and more recently the story mode. For some reason every MK game feels like I have to re-learn every player and I just can't get used to it.
Tekken felt at times to cheap, especially when I used to be good at it (Tekken 3 days) and friends who had never played the game had heard about mashing kick buttons with Eddie beating you.
I've not played KI since the N64 days so I don't think I can comment, but it looks like it plays a lot like Street Fighter but faster. If I had an X1 I would defo give it a shot.
Does it have the finishing moves like the original? I don't think they are needed, but it would be cool.
I think all good fighting games need a good story mode. MK has defo raised the bar. SFV fighting network is also a must. I know it's not functioning fully yet with bits to come, but for those who have seen it and played about with it, it's a bit like Drive Clubs connected network. It's pretty sweet.
In my opinion, non of the games have nailed the combination of all the above and until they do, they will all be the go to fighting game of the gen, but for different reasons.
