Forums - Nintendo Discussion - On 21.02.2016 was the 30th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda - and we got nothing?

Zelda released in japan 21.02.1986.

Did I missed anything? We didnt get even something?

Did you completely forget that TPHD releases in less than 2 weeks?

bet: lost

They don't need to release more things Zelda. They had Triforce Heroes not long ago, they have Hyrule Warriors Legends, TP HD and Zelda U on the way. If anything they should do a proper Metroid anniversary, it's been too long, even a VC sale on Metroid things would be something.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

30th I think you mean!

Well you'll get your new Zelda game this year, and i'm sure there'll be other things to celebrate the 30th anniversary this year, does it really have to be on the exact date?

Last year was the 20th anniversary of Wipeout, didn't get anything T_T

Lol, medieval games are fucking brilliant then. I wonder where I put my Nintendo Joust System.

To be fair, more than a few people were expecting a Direct or something on the 30th anniversary. I sort of was, but oh well, like others have said, we've got TPHD in less than 2 weeks.

I never expected anything anyway, they already did all kinds of things with the 25th, it would be overkill to celebrate anniversaries like that every 5 years. I'd say wait for it's 50th.

Besides, we're getting ZeldaU this year, TPHD in a couple weeks, a Hyrule Warriors port to 3DS and Triforce Heroes released only a couple months ago. That's too much already.

WOW 1086

Zelda has truly been an all time classic for ages.

Zelda U is already enough for this milenary anniversary.

We already got a ton of shit for the 25th anniversary, they won't necessarily do a lot of things every five years (or every time a big Zelda game release).
