Yes, Development + Marketing + Capcom Pro Tour, that is a Worldwide Tournament, cost more or less this Money, the game is the biggest fighting games of all, GTA V, was a 250 Million US$ Game, don't make it seems that it had the same Development Cost, And not only Open World games are Expensive.

The costs of Marketing would be Huge for Capcom, Sony, made all the Marketing, gave some money for the Development, with the condition that Capcom, would publish the PC Version of Street Fighter V.

Nope, I don't believe making SFV cost that much and we'll never know because Capcom will never release that info.

If Capcom is spending that much making a fighting game though, then we know why Capcom was having financial troubles. That would mean they are fucking terrible with money.

Capcom, had 152 Millions in Bank, this means that this is all the Safe money of the Company, also means that they need to save it to prevent going bankrupt if they have losses, and for pay the Employers, Capcom, have 2601 Employes, The Minimum Wage on Japan, is something like 1200US$ per month, i think, so is atleast 38 Millions per year to pay the Wage of the Employes, this if all the employes had the Japan's Minimum Wage, so really Capcom, could not afford to make Street Fighter, with a Profit, of just 32 Millions per Year, 1 year of losses and already would be enough to make Capcom, Bankrupt.

so the Budget for a Game is much smaller than this, Making the Biggest Fighting game of all times, is Expensive, need a lot of Market, and also need the tournaments.

Street Fighter, would take much longer, because Capcom, would ned to make it slow, because of the Budget, and the game would be Out-dated, would be launched for the current generation, when the Next generation were nearly there, so we would have another "Ulta, Mega, Ultimate, Goddess" Edition.

Capcom is making SFV slow. They launched an incomplete game. Instead of releasing multiple versions they are gonna push microtransactions (time saving currency and costumes are definite). In the future I guarantee they will do a re-release with content unlocked and perhaps costumes.

Out dated? People still play SFIV and the original game released in 2008. SFV could have launched years from now and not be outdated. This is a topic you clearly don't know much about.

I certainly hope it under-performed, if not outright bombed. Love the series, not a fan of the engine from IV and V, but, much less of a fan of unfinished products being released to the market. Especially when it's one of the pivotal titles in the pantheon of fighting games.

I won't be getting it for at least 3 months, or whenever I feel like it's a full title, and worth the asking price.

Bad selling/marketing imho here. Capcom priced game as a full retail, and people wanna content what is usually expected from AAA game. Anyone who is interested will wait for more content to arrive.

This is completely different, they will Release everything  with the possibility of being able to get with In-Game Money, they will get money from Microtransations, but who paid 60US$, will be able to get Everything, and will not have a Ultimate Version, they already said that, and because of that they have Sony, as the Partner for Street Fighter, Out-Dated, i mean that will not be on the Current Generation consoles when they came out,  GTA VI, would be out-dated if launched today only to Past generation Consoles.

They released this early only for Capcom Pro Tour, i don't give more than 6 Months, to this game being Full, and make a Hit K.O, on any other Fighting game of the Generation.

People who paid $60 will be able to get every character via lots of grinding. Each character is probably going to take a few hours of play to unlock and several more hours to get some costume colors. Quite honestly, I don't want to many hours of grinding just to get all the characters. Capcom put in a lot of grinding to encourage people to do microtransactions.

Your "out dated" analogy simply doesn't work. Outside of lighting effects its not a great looking game either. It could have been a last gen game.

Well getting the game ready for the Capcom Tour gave the game a poor critical reception (poor for the series), bad word of mouth, and likely impacted profits. I feel the real reason it launched early was to get money coming in.

Bear in mind I've already heard the other views, this is what I believe.

A couple things to consider: Ono stated back in 2013 that there was no money to develop SFV preceding the late 2014 announcement that the game was under development as a co-development partnership with SCE.

What that sounds like is that SCE helped back the game, which otherwise wouldn't have been developed, hence the console exclusivity.

I can't help but wonder if Capcom wouldn't have been better off marketing the game as a pre-release for tournament players rather than as an incomplete retail game with updates pending as there is low value for non-competition players to jump in during the initial wave for any reason other than to be a part of that initial wave of SFV players. This is a game that will very likely be supported for years after all.

Out-dated i mean that the Game would not be out on the Current Generation of the times of the release.

Griding, is when you are Playing Online, you receive the Coin to purchase the Characters, so you think that Someone that purchased the game, will not play the Game ?, will play 1 time, and just throw away later ?, do you think that is Better to release a game that Everything can only be obtained with Real Money ?, Insteady of In-game Money ?, the Characters will take 2-3 Months per Character Release, so i think that Someone who purchased the game now, will have Enought  In-game Money, to purchase any character when it became Avaliable.

League of Legends,  is a Hit, just because of In-game Purchase with Real Money, and with In-game Money, influence in the same way with both purchases, and the players can have a Fair battle, and not just put a Overpower Character Via Cash $$$$$$$$$$, and make the Battle unfair.

He said they dontnhave the resources to bring SSFIV to next gen, which people simply assumed (incorrectly) that it must also mean no money for SFV. He said SFV would be 2018 at the earliest given their resources. Clearly Sony money sped that up. But the game was coming either way.

And i have seen people saying you get everything they release for your $60 investment.. thats not true. They have said there are premium things coming that require real money.

I am thinking the premium content starts with cosmetic items and costumes, then later extends to new characters.

The game released 2 minutes ago and hasn't yet reached 3 billion copies sold.

So yes, I obviously bombed.
