Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Zelda Wii U on Wii U vs on NX - which version will be better`?

NX or Wii U Version?

NX! I dont give a sh!t ab... 91 66.42%

Wii U! Im a Nintendo game... 46 33.58%

Total:137

Wii U is the only version I care about, so it wins by default.

NX, I think but it entirely depends on how they use the gamepad. If the game relies on lots of assymetric gameplay (i hope not), then the Wii U version would be hard to replicate.

After playing Skyward Sword I'm pretty sure Item switching on screen with the dial they introduced is just as fast, if not faster then looking down at the game pad to touch an item. The NX control will 100% have a good gyroscope for motion assisted aiming and similar controls. Off screen play and Map on the controller aren't real selling points for me, so I'll go for better presentation over that.

The reality though is that the NX is likely to have all the functionality of the Wii U control based on recent patents.

Doubt you'll see any difference outside of maybe a resolution bump or a few more blades of grass in the distance. Nintendo isn't going to shaft the entire Wii U user base over the NX version.

You should make a prediction thread about NX having a completely standard controller and being powerful enough to run Zelda U at 1080p and 60 fps.

That being said I don't think I'll lose much by choosing NX in that scenario because the gamepad has proven to be so useful so far.

Didn't all the leaks and patents show the NX controller with a touchscreen? It will probably be a midway between the Pro controller and the Gamepad.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I dont think Zelda U for NX will have graphical improvement in comparison with Wii U version, but I think NX version will have some additional features.
Saying that if I buying NX on launch I will probably go for NX version, in case I dont buy NX on launch Wii U version will be day one.
In case I am wrong and NX version has graphical improvements, it's almost certain I will buy NX on launch with Zelda NX.

IMO, all the WiiU owners who want this Zelda, should buy the "WiiU Version" and show some support to the platform to the end. (or then, buy both versoins).

Anyway, I hope we get at least 2 year more with WiiU's version of the "some new games", like the ps3/ps4/psvita avalanche. would be nice.

Hardly, most of ps3/xbox 360/ps vita support are getting is 3rd party, and Nintendo always cut completely support for previous home console after new arrives.

PS devices can get a relly long lifespam because that late support is all 3rd parties. Nintendo can't afford keep the WiiU support when the NX is out, and no 3rd parties are going to come once Nintendo abandons the system.

Even the 360 is still (was?) getting new games/MS's games. Why can't Nintendo? Also, Nintendo is under new direction (btw he said the support would continues after NX's release). Who knows. the fact YOU do not want it, doens't meam this is the truth.
