NX or Wii U Version?

NX! I dont give a sh!t ab... 91 66.42%

Wii U! Im a Nintendo game... 46 33.58%

Total:137

Lets say Zelda Wii U on NX is real (i still dont believe it), but just lets say its real.

Wii U Version: 720p;30fps windwaker/TP HD tablet features (Map on Gamepad and fast item switching via gamepad, Off-TV play)

NX Version: 1080p;60fps Normal Controller support (like Pro Controller). No addiontal features.

Which would you prefer to play?

I think they will be equally good because they will be the same version. Nintendo has no time to tinker and play with the extra features of the NX, or else they will release it in 2017. It will be a solid port of the WiiU version.

Didn't both versions of Twilight Princess play and look the same, the only difference being the motion controlls and Link's dominant hand?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Anyone saying the WiiU version will be better is kind of silly... They must not think much of Nintendo's next generation hardware and expect it to fail! Which is odd cause the people voting WiiU in the poll are no doubt trying to defend the console and make out that the game releasing on nx too would not lessen the importance of the WiiU console. I mean how can you think a cross generation game will be better on the PREVIOUS generation, its absurd.

Epic Mickey 2 was better on the Wii

Actually it probably is possible, with Nintendo consoles at least, I can't imagine a game being better on ps3 than ps4, or 360 than xbo, but the power difference between the WiiU and NX probably isn't going to be as big... well really this thread just seems a little premature without knowing anything about the NX, the main advantage of the WiiU is gamepad features, the NX verison presumably better graphics, but the NX might support the gamepad too, who knows.

Going by the patents NX is very likely to have a gamepad controller of it's own so in this case I agree in that an NX version would be the definitive version in that scenario.

Why cant it be feasible for the Wii U version to be better? Take Rodea the sky soldier for instance, the Wii version is far superior. That game was in development for Wii for ages, built from the ground up to take advantage of the unique Wii features and controls. It was then rush ported to Wii U with a horrible control scheme, and better graphics aside, ended up being weaker than the previous gens iteration. My point being that the new Zelda has obviously been in years of development to take full advantage of Wii U features, that a quick NX port might just not cut it.

Because of the tablet, and it was designed for Wii U version

Wasn't Rodea the sky soldier on the WIi practically a completely different game?

When it comes down to it this thread is completely hypothetical and it's the choice between 720p,30fps with tablet features or 1080p,60fps with no tablet, I'd be surprised if people would genuinely choose the former but some might. The boost from 30fps to 60fps alone would be enough for me to ditch the gamepad features.

I agree. Rodea was designed with motion controlls in mind. Changing the focus from the Wiimotes to the Gamepad affected the game because it wasn't designed with gamepad in mind. Zelda U was made and designed with WiiU in mind, and I suppose it would have stayed an exlusive if the WiiU performed better.

I think that both versions of Zelda U will be nearly identical. Nintendo has no time to play around with the NX version. Finish the game, make a NX version of the game, release them both and get on with other projects.
