Insane that he got off on the affluenza defense.
Fucking insane.
Look, he shouldn't be killed for it, but he deserves to pay for the lives of three people he killed because he made poor choices.
People do far less and get bigger penalties than that.

Drunk Driving is against the law. How do you get around that??!?

I'm not advocating death, but he and he alone made the choice to drink, drive and speed. Four human beings are dead due to his irresponsible choices. I think something more than "oh he has a drinking problem" is in order. He apparently has little interest in being a productive member of society when the immense gravity of the four lives he took wasn't enough to teach him any responsibility.

Did this just come out, I swear I just watch a documentary about this a 2 weeks ago.

Immediately retired after? Sounds like they got a big payout for it...

Her career was obstensibly ruined after this so it would be pointless to even finish out her term.

I recall someone saying that this Judge was pretty good, but the only thing she'll be remembered for is the verdict on this case.

very lenient decision for sure, but death penalty ? c'mon....

Many of you guys who are calling for the death penalty would be singing a very different tune if you were the one who caused this mess. Just think about that. If you were in this person's shoes, would you be rising the same pitchfork to yourself and demand that you be executed for being so irresponsible? lol, give me a break.

The judge was probably lenient because he's young. Should have just made an example of him, life in prison or death penalty.

You can't get the death penalty for vehicular manslaughter since its pretty much impossible to proof that any of those cases are premeditated.

That doesn't really change what should happen to him or how he should be punished.

He chose to drink alot then drive knowing what could happen to him or others. People died and were hurt because of him. His life should be forfeit.

What good does it do, to jail someone for lifetime, for a accidental killing?

I seriously believe intent is what matters.

The person that drove drunk, will likely never make that mistake again.
Keeping him/her in jail doesnt protect anyone in society.
It wont bring back the dead.
It wont really deter others of his/her type from drunk diveing.

Accidents happend. Dont see the point of keeping someone like that in jail for a lifetime.

That person is more usefull to society if they "get a slap" on the wrist and are put back out into it.

Everything else is just "eye for a eye" mentality without reasoning behinde it.

It's not an accident. If you can drive a car. You understand what happens when you touch alcohol. He already failed, with the first problem. He chose to drink. He now then accepted all the millions of outcomes that can happen with this choice, of going into the car. Including murder.

I think she got paid off and got paid off well. More than likely 7 figures. Of course she has no regrets. The sad thing is that I bet most people would end up doing the same thing the judge did and have the same amount of regrets.

I'm not calling for death here, more like being strapped to a factory line the shocks you unless you work...but if I did what this twat done, I would not be able to live with myself, If I was allowed bail I'd pull a Will Smith seven pounds move and kill myself as the amulance  arrives with all my organ details,  listed for imeadiate removal or something that would bring good into the world but I would soon be exiting the world and I wouldn't put that on anyone else, I'd do it myself.

yeeeeaaahhhh... no you wouldn't.
