Porting will be easy and fast despite different architecture, 3rd parties were doing ports of PS3/Xbox 360 game to Wii U for 6 months.

Again, TLOU for PS4 was Remaster (from 720p/30fps to 1080p/60fps), not simple port, and it was done buy small team of Naughty Dog for one year.

I dont think Nintendo will invest too much time of resources in NX version of Zelda U game, they will probably make straith port with some unique staffs for NX version, something similar like they done with Wii TP version in comparison with GC. NX port of Zelda U cant be show case of NX power because game is build from ground for Wii U power, some new title we be showcase of NX power, probably new 3D Mario that will be probably be launch title.

Controls are not only reason why TV was released for Wii too, same like Wii U situation, GC as at end of life and TP was huge game, so they ported game to Wii and make it launch game, and that was huge success, it was great launch title and TP Wii become best selling Zelda game, Nintendo want similar effect with Zelda U.

If you're talking about the best selling version, sure. But the best selling title was OOT on N64. Plus, you seem to be forgetting a huge amount of initial backlash when they revealed Zelda U from non Nintendo fans (and some Nintendo fans) for the game not looking like the tech demo. TP announcement reception was insanely positive, and the best selling version was on Nintendo's best selling console of all time. And you're going to say these things are similar how?

My mistake, TP Wii was sold 7.26m and OoT N64 was sold 7.6m, huge difrence. :)

Over 90% of coments on Internet was that Zelda U looks beatifule, same thing almost evre gaming cite said. Definatly some people in vast minoroty didnt like it, but there was nothing like huge amount of initial backlash. So yes, Zelda U announcement and reception was also insanely positive. One of reasons why TP sold so much on Wii is because was launch title, that's pure fact.

So we have great looking game that is very hyped, that is first HD and true open world Zelda game that seems like it will be one of the best Zelda's ever, and game like that will be launch title on new platform.

The argument that the Nintendo WiiU will have a better lineup than NX is funny. Guess what? PS 3 has still the better lineup than PS 4 and you get cheap attractive bundles and guess what? Every successor console has a weaker lineup than its predecessor. Sounds logical?

Thats true. Thats why I just got a ps4 half a year ago. because the ps3 was the way better deal. Getting a console on launch isnt very clever.

I got the ps4 for 250,- (so almost half price compared to launch) + got at least enough games worth buying.

True, it's nor advisable to buy consoles at launch for various reasons. However, there's Christmas and so you can get one for "free".

Yes, I want it on NX, because I don't think I will ever get a Wii U at this point.

So you wanna buy an NX direclty on launch with maybe 2-3 other good launch games next to Zelda Wii U for probl ~400+ bucks instead of getting zelda wii u on the wii u for maybe half that priece and 20+ great exclusive games already available?

Yes, I don't see the point in getting a dying platform. There are also not 20 exclusive games I care about. There may be many great titles by some definition, but not everything is for my taste. For example, I have zero interest in Splatoon or Xenoblade.

On top of that, I don't necessarily need to get it at launch. What's holding me from waiting a few months or even years?

Skyward Sword sold 4m on 100m, but game arrived basically on dead platform when most of users migrate to other platforms and game itself required addon or different type of controller that neded to be bouth in order to play game. So I relly dont see how you can compare Zelda U on NX on with Skyward Sword, when you need to compare Zelda U on NX with TP Wii becuse Zelda U will also be launch title same like TP Wii was, and we all know how strong launch title TP was and how much was sold.

You basically ignoring facts and making comparisons that doesn't make any sense.

So you're saying LoZ only has the ability to move consoles when it's a console launch title? I'm not entirely following.

Definitely moves much more consoles like launch title than when arrives on already dead platform.

Its the best for nintendo.
more money for them to make on a new system, instead of wii u, where sales are dropping off.

It will also help them sell more NX, potentially setting up the NX to sell much better than the Wii U,

which will mean more 3rd party support, which means more sales for nintendo.

I think nintendo should care more about the sales of their console, and profits, than just how mad it could make a few Wii U owners.

true. Skyward Sword sold 3 mil. on 100 mil installed hardware base and people expects that millions will go and buy an NX to play the next zelda? Zelda Wii U wont even help the NX launch much. It will probl do less then mario kart 8 did on wii u (which is a much more popular franchise).

i never compared zelda u with skyward sword

As long as they still release it for Wii U as promised, i'm not too bothered about an NX release.

However, i feel it would be better to say that its Wii U-exclusive, though from a financial standpoint perhaps a cross-release would be better.

Yes, I want it on NX because it will probably be the superior version, and that way I can sell my Wii U in order to buy the new console too.

sure you want to sell the wii u late 2016?

Mario Kart 9/NX will probl launch summer 2017/8. Splatoon 2 maybe 2018/9. New Star Fox? Could take looong. If smash not gonna ported that also will take very long.

NX might have 2-3 killer games at launch and maybe 1-2 following the next year...

BTW: if NX is BC you can play zelda anyway and all wii u games for sure^^

That's directly comparing Skyward Sword with Zelda U port for NX, but you needed to TP Wii with most likely Zelda U port on NX.

Wii U support and games developement will drop off a cliff... like always happends with nintendo consoles, once a new one launches.

Unless you really love splatoon & smash, theres not that much a draw back too it, if your the type that sells the old console to help fund the new.
