Looking at the hardware sales comparison between the PS3 and the GC in Japan, it's easy to see that the PS3 is tracking right alongside it, if not a bit below. Moreover, comparing PS3 sales between this and last year, the slowing of PS3's Japanese numbers is easy to see. So my question is simple: will the PS3 ever reach 10 mill in Japan at the end of this generation (probably a bit more than half of Wii's end of gen Japanese numbers), or will it fall considerably short and stall at 4 mill like the Gamecube? I'm sure that FFXIII will breathe quite a bit of life into the PS3 and carry it past the GC to about 6-7 million... maybe even 8 mill, but I can't see the PS3 doing much more than that. What do you guys think? I'm almost positive that Japan will be the hardest market for the PS3 throughout this generation as it continues to gain acceptance in the Americas and does really well in Others.
