Going beyond the fanboyism of the big 3, whether you're a fanboy of either of them or not (doesn't matter), sometimes people are a fanboy of something smaller than that. Like a franchise, a mascot that gets around other games, a developer, etc

But even as a fanboy, it doesn't mean you're gonna like everything. So if you consider yourself a fanboy of something, what didn't you like?

As for me, being a Neptunia fanboy, I have to say I was disappointed with Hyperdevotion Noire Goddess Black Heart. Seems to be deemed by most fans (and even some non fans) as the best Neptunia spin-off, but it's the only Nep game I didn't platinum, or worse, I didn't even finish the story (though I came very close). I made me realize i'm not into SRPGs very much.. I enjoy Disgaea, but I already didn't like VC. It seems as if I only enjoy like 1 out of 5 SRPGs I try. Not a good ratio that indicates the genre isn't for me. I love turn based RPGs, just not the Strategy variant I guess.

Was still worth it for those skimpy Noire CGs..

I don't consider myself a fanboy of anything. I usually go by fan instead. I have series I likes, but also games in those series I would consider so-so, poor, or just stinkers.

I love bomberman, but I consider all the games to be terrible after Bomberman Generations. A good 3D Bomberman game was never made again... I love Fatal Frame, but I don't consider 2 and so far 5 to not be very good. Another series is Tales, which I really like, but I also don't like Abyss. It has flaws which makes it not very favorable to me.

I can go on, but I think I listed enough examples, haha... I don't take everything given to me by my favorite companies as positive. I'll give feedback to anything I play.

Metroid, but I didn't really like Prime 2 or 3 or Other M.

Fusion, Zero Mission, Super Metroid and Prime 1 are legendary games though. I haven't played Metroid 2 but I hear good things.

I'm a Valve fanboy for sure, but I hate the fact that they've put the Half-Life franchise on ice for nearly a decade and keep focusing on online multiplayer instead in their development.

I love Variable Geo, but really, they screwed up almost everything that came after Advanced V.G.2.

Metal Gear Solid (see avatar) but I admit I kind of fell off the boat because I haven't played 5 yet.

Anyway, I didn't really like MGS4. I'm sorry everyone but it just wasn't as good as its predecesors.

I'm a fanboy of Nintendo but I don't like Pokemon. Never even played one. Somebody gave me Pokemon Y and I still haven't played it.

I would consider myself a Xeno fanboy, but the Saga series is the faaaaaaaar worst in that series. Gears and Blade (series) are epic.

i consider myself a Pokemon fanboy, but i dont like a lot of the new spin-offs. the F2P titles like Pokemon Shuffle and Picross are fun, but they use the dumb gem system to limit play sessions which is a huge game killer for me
