More than you'd think, so I'm honestly not sure why.

I tried to finish it like three times. I couldn't play more than half an hour. It's like the developers tried to make the most boring game ever....

Despite of the ratings of the critics and the hate of many forum posters all over the planet Knack has quite good user ratings on PSN, Amazon and other vendors. Maybe it appeals more to a younger audience than the average critic / game expert.

So if it sold well and found its audience... why shouldn't Sony invest in a successor?

Yay! I really enjoyed Knack and I can see the 2nd one being praised if they fix some things, like difficulty spikes, and make the platforming portion more creative. I'm sure they'll get it right this time.

Give us Demons Souls 2 and they can make Knack be their mascot for all I care...

The first game got a bad rap. It was in no way something any more than a decent launch title, but the media tried their hardest to tear it apart. It has a good concept, it is fun, a decent plot foundation to build off of, and a real shot due to what seems like most people looking back on it and seeing it wasn't a bad game at all.

All it needs is a bit more variety in the gameplay and a few quirky side characters, and a sequel good strike gold as far as 3D platormers go.
