Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Prediction: Microsoft will launch the Xbox Two in 2017 or 2018

When will the Xbox Two launch?

this year 22 3.14%

in 2017 34 4.86%

in 2018 147 21.00%

in 2019 239 34.14%

in 2020 156 22.29%

after 2020 102 14.57%

Total:700

The Xbox One is selling terrible compared to the PS4. In some regions like Germany or France it gets outsold by the Wii U. In Japan nobody cares for the console. Microsoft is losing much ground in all these regions. They need to move on in order to get back what they once "owned"

And it looks like that that is Microsoft's plan. Every formerly announced Xbox One exclusive is coming to the PC. They don't even care to sell more Xbox Ones. The bring these games to the PC because they may not be profitable on the small userbase of the Xbox One. Maybe they will port some big upcoming games like Gears of War 4 or Scalebound to the Xbox Two.

What do you think? IMO everything points towards that Microsoft is planning to replace the Xbox One ASAP.

Would definitely be interesting to see. Then again, there is still no reason to buy it if they're gonna port all their games to PC.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

i really doubt that to ever happen now that Microsoft have gone 99/9% window cross-platform. People will realize this generation that owning a Xb1 is useless because all of their beloved titles or future new titles will perform better on a pc that cost 100$ more in 2018. The Xb2 will be a cheap ass window machine. I really hope people actually buy a platform for it's vast majority of awesome games, not because of their brand... If they Ofc not like to cheat themselves from awesome experiences in life

PSN: Opticstrike90
Steam: opticstrike90

I think MS want to turn Xbox into a service like Steam and make profit off of live and have something similar to the Steam box. Your account will be linked to both PC and your box to allow for cross platform.

It just seems they are becoming more PC orientated and want to step away from consoles but make mini PCs with Xbox ui on instead. They might even let 3rd party vendors make their own X Boxes.

And it will be an application for Windows.

The new xbox comes in 2020 i think

2017 sounds way too soon.

2018 is definitely the more likely out of the two.

However, I'm expecting their next console, if they make one, in 2019.

I find it hard to believe they would release it as soon as 2017. X1 sales are still fine and they make money with it. Releasing QB and possibly some other games won't have such a major effect on X1 sales I think. It's a smart move for both MS and Remedy.

XOne is losing ground???It always did horribly in Japan. And the XOne is currently outperforming 360.Not everything is winning the console wars, and rushing a new generation just because you are behind in sales to the other one is more damaging than good.XOne is selling extremely well, and thats what really matters in the end

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Xone isn't selling terribly just, it's still around it's predecessor in therms of sales. Besides it can hit the 50 million easy. Terrible is Wii U level of sales, the Xone sells mediocre.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
