Only that in this particular case the spamming is beneficial for the series. When it's taking so long between new releases, then a new generation of gamers isn't likely to show much interest in the series. The remakes do not only keep the series relevant, they also give people a chance to enjoy the classics with some of the kinks being ironed out on top of a better presentation.

I don't agree that it is inherently dangerous. Like most things, it depends on what is being done.

Or you could solve the real problem making a more efficient team with a leader that has not to distract with unasked lower-quality spin offs or yearly remasters, and let him focus on the real meat.

 

And hopefully we don't have to go through that lie that they are not milking it just because those are remakes, that somehow doesn't count for this topic but for other ones like counting as big projects we have to enlist them.

My thoughts exactly. I won´t complain if there are new Zelda games in the near future (this year, first half of 2017) but at least I want to be able to play Zelda U on november 2016, as that´s the farthest date I´m able to wait for xD
