Yeah just shows why it's silly to believe these guys in the first place. They're a business not a friend looking out for you.

That's the same for virtually any other busienss though, no business out there will ever be your pal or amigo, it's always about money at the end of the day.

Yeah and if we were talking just about any other business I would have mentioned that too.  It goes without saying.

I can understand MS releasing games for their windows platform too, but unless they don't care about selling XB1s, then they should release them around the same time with the PC version.

At this rate we may very well see MS games on the playstation.

What's really interesting, is that if MS had a steam, they probably wouldn't even bother with an XBox console at all.

MS are more or less trying to make their own version of Steam by putting most of those late ports onto their 10 store while also last year saying "we aren't competing with Steam" and then theyr evamped the store and suddenly all these games coming out are going to their store rather than aiming at the entire userbase. Trouble with that is that Steam already has a firm grasp on the biggest slice of the pie, if MS want the whole pie back then they had beter do exactly what Steam had done to make itself great and also embrace and support mods and the modding community (somethign which MS is very adverse to).

I don't see MS/Xbox games touching Sony platforms any time soon if at all, I don't see it being some one way street for Sony just because MS is focussing on their original core market.

Yes, this way it lets Sony off the hook you see, with leaving out that every business does this, then you can easily point out how XBox is just the worst...

@the OP....  This plan will sell windows 10 and XBox one to maximize proftits for ms. Having Windows 10 games will push people to upgrade or own Xbox One or both. So in the end it's  a smart business move and in some ways expands value on both playforms, maybe even pushing out more games in the process.

He is using the slippery slope argument, the best way to demonize anything you feel to demonize. Logically it makes zero since. I can say, well since they put a speed limit sign on my road of 30, next thing you know they are going to take my car and make me buy a hourse. C'mon.

well it was Aug 6, 2015, companies always change their minds anyways.

6 months ago.  8 months prior to release.  4 months after an unexpected delay to 2016.

the pc port was already started decided on.

You'll notice that he never explicitly says QB is not coming to PC.

More or less why I challenged the notion. Just because MS is choosing to support their original audience doesn't somehow mean every other console is suddenly going to get their games, besides the argument could also be put in reverse as well.

I don't know what you think I'm trying to demonize here, I just have an opinion and I notion that I firmly believe will happen sooner or later.

Between Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft; MS is not only the least invested of those three companies but have the least to lose from pulling out of console hardware manufacturing. I feel MS is working towards pulling out of a dedicated proprietary console as we know it and hearing more towards a steam like approach to gaming.

I'm not saying I want them out, or that the console space will be better off without them, just saying that if you are talking about what makes sense or doesn't, then it makes no sense them competing in a space like this. simply put, unless Sony does something ridiculously stupid (which looking at the PS3 isn't impossible) there is pretty much nothing MS can do to dethrone the PS4 this gen or a PS5 next gen  (especially if Sony sticks to their current formula). We used to be able to say at least MS has NA (at least throughout last gen) we can't even say that anymore and this gen is just half way through.

So no, MS games making their way to PS platforms isnt as far fetched as you may think. Not like I care though, just having a discussion. Don't get the whole attack the person rather than attack an argument thing.... lol, demonize. come on its not that serious......
