Ohh that's why almost every Nintendo-published game on Gamespot gets a 9 or 10, with very few dipping below an 8. This in their own words mean they think most Nintendo games are "great" -  because they clearly hate Nintendo. Of course.

"Almost every" is a gross exaggeration.  Yeah, they give plenty of Nintendo games good scores, especially in recent years, but as long as they've been around they've had a ton of ridiculous reviews.  For a while they were consistently at the very bottom of just about every review score list for Nintendo games.

So because they are constantly not giving Nintendo as good of scores as other sites, they must hate Nintendo.

Gotcha.

So it appears that perhaps Gamestop doesn't love Nintendo games as much as other people. That's still a far cry from hate. But you know, Internet exaggerations for the win. If they don't love something as much as you, they practically hate it I guess.

Also, I apoligize for the typo. I meant to say gets 8-10 for score, and in that case "Almost Every" would not a gross exaggeration when 9 our of 13 Nintendo-made Wii-U games reviewed by Gamestop got score of 8 or above.

Please paste and highlight where I said "hate".  I said "bias".  A bias means a slant, a leaning.

But...internet exaggerations for the win, I guess.  ;)

You're totally right. I apoligize.

After this review I stop paying attention on GameSpot.

I think DK in general is very boring, definitely one of my least favourite platformers.

It's probably not as ''relevant'' today, but this is just one of those reminders you have to rewatch

Ok, i dont usually care at all for reviews. Doesnt determine my purchase of a game. But one of the most ridiculous reviews i ever seen must have been the Tropical Freeze review by gamespot. Has anyone seen this before? Whats your opinion on it?

Also Tropical Freeze is one of my fave games of all time. With oustanding soundtrack, and challening unique levels. This game never felt repetetive.

Almost any Devil's Third review is horrible. Dong Freeze in a good light if you compare both.

It's one of the worst reviews I've heard in years. Really, I absolutely despise Gamespot this gen. Some of their Nintendo reviews are shit. Not only this one. And I don't care about the score, it's just that some reviews are awfully bad.

Well, and some scores. I mean: Yoshi's Wolly World a 6/10, Kirby: Rainbow Curse, 5/10,...

Don't forget Dark Moon either. That review was when I personally checked out lol

Not only scores but minuses they mention on which they gave those scores, its hilarious and make no sense:

Donkey Kong

THE BAD

 -Dull, derivative level design

-Employs some cheap and frustrating platforming tricks

 -Harsh checkpoints during boss battles

Yoshi Wolly World

THE BAD

 -Too basic for platformer fans

 -Visuals won't impress everyone

 -Some collectables are unreasonably hidden

-Fun lies in the diversions, not the main game

It was a horrible review that had me questioning if they even played the same game I did.
TF isnt a masterpiece but its damn well worth an 8/10 if not higher.

http://moongypsy.bandcamp.com/ ~Thank you Stefl1504 for the amazing sig~

It was 5.0 at first and was accidentally posted early or something (and then removed), but it became such a huge outrage that they changed it to 6.0.

6.0 is actually their improved score.
