Hmm. Perhaps in some way. You forgot to include the rest of the story where Apple stagnates and starts relying on substantially weaker hardware than their competitors :-3

Furthermore, the NES ans SNES had bigger doses of capitalism than the PS1. Hence why third parties were happy when a notable competitor to Nintendo arose.

uhm apple where do apple use or rely on weaker hardware?

The a9x soc from the iPad air is by far the strongest mobile arm soc ever developed.

The a9 soc is by far the most effency arm soc ever developed. Same performance level like an 8core exynos cpu with just 2 cores.

The Macbook pro uses very strong components, Mac Pro same. Sure those machines arnt made for gaming, but they are still use high end hardware.

Apple also uses the fast harddrive memory available which outperforms modern ssds.

So where is this "weak" hardware?

Macbook Pros have weak hardware for their price class. Same with any macbook. Iphones are massively outperformed by other brand smartphones of similar price. Ipad are about as powerful as their competetion.

Apple relies on selling products in a way higher price class than what their power would suggest. Either overpriced or underpowered, doesn't matter too much.

I can't bring myself to read the whole thing because of the intense Apple bias. Microsoft threw capitalism at the industry? Right, because they decided they were the ONLY people allowed to make Windows PCs, and then charge an arm and a leg for parts that cost half of the asking price of the machine.

Apple is the one taking advantage of Supply/Demand. MS only started making their own computers in the past few years, and they didn't stop other companies from imitating them.

Oddly, Nintendo wants to be like Apple (profits margin wise). They want to create their own bubble, like the Wii/DS era. Unfortunately, they are able to create it, but not to sustain.

uhm...nope.

You have some really bad information my friend ;) The iPhone 6s is the fastest phone on the market. The iPad Pro is as strong as full i7 x86 tablets. Other ARM-Devices arnt even in its league.

And also Microsoft is like Microsoft.

Not for the reasons you've stated.

They all want to be Apple right now. so far, no gaming company is really like Apple.

Iphone 6s+ is about 400$ more expensive than a Note 5 lol. I said "similar price point". Meanwhile, a Galaxy S6 (which is still substantially cheaper than and Iphone 6s plus mind you) has about twice the gflops for its GPU, two times the CPU power, 3 times the RAM, 1440p vs Iphone 6s plus' 1080p, and I could go on.

Your graph is for single core performance.... And it doesn't even feature the CPU that an S6 has. Heck, it doesn't even feature the CPU that an Iphone 6S plus has lol. But single core performance isn't everything you know. The iphone 6s plus only has 2 cores, while the galaxy S6 has 8 cores that also have higher clock rates.

Now that we have the phones out of the way, let's go to PCs.

That thing has similar hardware to top of the line imacs... Keep in mind it is about half the price, but imacs come with screens. Throw in a 4k screen and it's only 1000$ cheaper than an imac.

Apple and MS are massively successful and dominant for years on end in many divisions.

Nintendo isn't dominant in the console space, and Sony isn't dominant everywhere else.
