Forums - Sony Discussion - I don't like Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection so far...

Haven't touched the HD remaster (meaning I don't know how combat has been tweaked exactly), but I remember being frustrated on Normal with the original because, frankly, I suck at shooters. (Or used to suck. I probably still suck. Whatever.)

I got through Drakes Fortune, but I remember hating enemies that seemed to take multiple headshots (Guess that's fixed now? Or maybe I wasn't actually getting headshots...) and a few of the difficulty spikes (I specifically remember one being known as the Blue Room - suddenly you have to kill waves of enemies because video gamez). Keep playing and, well, "get gud" I suppose.

Enemies always die after one headshot, even on hardest difficulty. It's basically what you wanna do to get through Crushing. You need to be very precise though. The pistol is a better choice than the assault rifles.

I'm playing the remaster right now on Crushing and it's not too bad. Sure, I need 10 tries for some sections, but the checkpoints are really really fair. I don't get frustrated at all. Already got the platinum on PS3, I think I'm gonna get it on PS4 too.

Nah, I'm comfortable saying its a mediocre game. Its tough to recommend. I feel bad for people wanting to play every game in the series because that game is a slog.

And I'm comfortable saying otherwise, recommending it to as many people as are willing to try it (many of whom, loved it). :)

Hey, one man's trash is another's treasure.

However, the general concensus these days for that game isnt good. If you dont want to acknowledge the game is riddled with flaws and poorly paced, fine.

Im not saying its terrible, just bleh.

First time I've seen anyone complain that Uncharted is too difficult lmao

Uncharted 1 is a mediocre game, I dont think the remaster fixed that.

My biggest gripes with the series has been bullet sponge enemies, lots of enemies likely done to make game longer, and uninteresting level design (doesent encourage exploration).

While 2 and 3 are hands down better games, dont buy the hype. That series is not as good as the interweb claims. I'm looking forward to Unchated 4 but hope it feels fresh compared to previous games. Frankly, I hope Naughty Dog is taking notes from Tomb Raider.

How?! They're the same game! Exactly the same design, only one game has a woman, the other has a dude.

The game plays exactly like the original, a bit clunky in the movement section but not horrible. The difficulty was one of the best thing about this game.

Too many guns? I thought it made the game a bit more challenging and fun having to use different weapons often. There really isn't that many different weapons! If you aim for the head, you waste less ammo unless your aim is horrible.

Idk, I thought Uncharted: Drake's fortune was pretty darn good, great even!! I loved it on Ps3 & enjoyed playing through the trilogy again on ps4.

The complains could be summed up as the game being too dificult for you.

Uncharted 2 is the best of the series, so you should like more, but it won't fix the fact that maybe you are bad at these types of game.

I never understood the complain of enemies taking too many bullets, it is how they balance the gameplay. Nobody complain destiny enemies takes too much bullets, or that in devil may cry, enemies don't die at one slash of a sword.

Uncharted 1 is easy, perhaps try playing easy mode then.

I agree with ya here, just maybe some point farming because the threads he puts get obvious replies of people saying he is wrong/shit at games.

That said tho, looking over some of the replies here, how would you reply to comments which suggest he should play easier games... on the easy setting... and by play one person suggests watching games on youtube instead lol. I'm not defending how bad the OP/Thread are, but how could you reply to people ragging on him like this?

I couldn't think of anything else to say lol. Like what game do you recommend to someone who says everything is hard lol. I was at a loss for words lol.

Hmmmm, I dunno tetris is pretty straight forwards and there is pretty much just one button, although... pressing the other button makes the parts rotate counter clockwise. Fairly tough controls to master :< oh!

literally hours of fun and upgrade paths!

Well Uncharted 1 aged very badly, its realy bleh by todays standards (and it was a good game but not something extraordinary when it released btw). However the points you make seens like the genre/style is just not for you so I dont see you enjoying Uncharted 2 at all, I got say tough some of the points you make sound like whinig a bit, youre complaining Uncharted is hard basicaly wich is kinda mind bogling.

No, Tomb Raider is more about exploration, you can freely return to areas to find secrets, there are hidden tombs, it has hunting, abilities to unlock, deeper combat, more stealth, etc. Tomb Raider and ROTTR are practically RPGs like Assassins Creed.

Uncharted on the otherhand is a much more linear experience with less content and features.
