Forums - Sony Discussion - PSVR Price $428 (bundle) And $299 (standalone) (RUMOUR)

rumors they were hoping to price the HMD at $299, which won't include the camera or PlayStation move controllers. But that they would probably have a separate starter kit where you could get the camera and move controllers and a game for around $129. For $428 + tax for the complete PSVR + camera + move controllers, would be a bargain!

Good price. Lot of potential with a strong VR lineup.

Let's hope it's not just a rumour though.

Lol at that price occulus rift is pretty much dead in the water before it even launches. PlayStation will own VR.

would be a really good price, but for now I still expect ~$/€400 for a pack with PSVR and the camera

I think a non-camera sku could cause some confusions, so they better have a fat red warning "PSVR requires the Playstation Camera to work" on the package

a different solution could be to only offer cam-less packs online

I have 2 motion controllers so I practically need the camera plus the VR device.

If it's that price then I'll be getting a second console this gen!

I could see the PSVR headset being $299, but that $428 for the bundle is an odd number that makes this rumor harder to believe.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

console $350 + HDM $300 + Camera move budle $128 = $778

Note that this will include at least 2 good games, one with each bundle, if you get the uncharted bundle then thats 4. Ready to play.

oculous rift bundle $600. Includes one game, not a big one(or 2, i forgot). Canot be played without $1000 pc so total of $1600.

I think its a given who will pull a head.

Oculous is aimed at people who already own a good enough PC in the same way PSVR is aimed at people who already have a PS4. You don't add in the price of a TV when discussing the price of a Blu-ray player and that's because it's a product in its own right.

If thats the target then its even worse. THere has to be a very small amount of people who $1000+ pcs. Not just that have them, but use them for gaming. There are a lot of beefy pcs used for video editing and some application rendering.

But its insane that they would not target new consumers and at this prices, its ovbious who has a wider reach.

Edit: please dont add that tv argument into this, its just plain ridiculous.
