Forums - Gaming Discussion - FineBros have now lost nearly 500k subs since their PR disaster

And they also lost more than 150k on their React channel. So in total they lost more than 650k subscribers. Not a lot compared to the total, but still.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

What disaster? What did they say?

I still don't get what was in the Fine Bros' brains to think that React World would ever be a good idea.

Never cared bout them before, but now I pretty much despise them, and I only expect their subs to continue dropping for a long period of time.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

"I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30. Cause unlike Hammer thirty million can't hurt me."

Or something like that.

The React World idea itself was good, the problem is the fact that they tried to copiright the word "React" and that they didn't offer anything to the people who wanted to be part of React World, so they were asking people to give them money in exchange of absolutely nothing...

If I knew or cared who they were I'd be furious!

They are also very well known for abusing the youtube flagging system, that's another part of this.  They claimed to be doing this for the community, while trademarking absurdly vague concepts (that've existed in some form or another for decades prior to them), with laughably bad licensing deals, while they abuse the reporting system on youtube.  There's nothing about that combination of factors that should inspire confidence in people that Fine Bros. are in it 'for the community'.

They still haemorrhaging subscribers?

*Checks* https://tfbsubscribers.github.io/

So they are. Number of subscribers lost will pass 500k at some point within 24 hours of this post, I reckon!

i think they worry more about the massive thumbs-down in each vid
