Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Fire Emblem Fates will have English voice only

I would have liked Japanese voice overs in the game. Besides often prefering that option, I've also heard many bad things about the english voice overs in this game.

I can live with Nintendo cutting out the rubbing mini game or the gay tricking magic potion, they aren't things I was looking forward to.

I also look at the release of Fire Emblem Fates as getting 3 Fire Emblem games for ~80€ at once instead of one, so I'm ok with it being split up.

But not having the option to select the japanese or english dub really bugs me. English dubs of cartoons, anime or games often tend to be my least favorite option.

Did you look at how much repeated content there is in each version first before viewing it that way? When I play a new Fire Emblem game, or any game for that matter, I expect a certain amount of new content. Awakening for example had 50 new maps, 49 new characters, and a new story, etc. When you get to the third version of Fates after playing the first two, you'll get 1 new character.
1  new character is not a new FE game to me.
I'm gonna make a topic about this shortly. You're welcome to check it out.

Most of the new characters were from the side quests that get unlocked overtime, unless you're talking about the DLC that can come in packs for Awakening. I don't recall a new story in Awakening though.Revelations is an entirely new set storyline that you chose neither Hoshido or Nohr. I don't know much about it, but it's possibly a completely different set up compared to the second halfs of Conquest and Birthright. Plus, it's twenty bucks.

The 3DS is region locked. And people only want the voices in japanese

Get a Japanese 3DS. Simple as that. If you understand Japanese, why would you bother waiting for English translations?

Because English voice acting is terrible?  sorry dude this comment is really stupid lol

You know the world is coming to an end when we complain about VA's. I know I like my Japanese subs at times but I can live with this and game another day. Also some Japanese pull licensing deals and cause issues where they don't want their voices included and the like, take issues with them instead and ask them why or maybe deal with the fact that the world doesn't revolve around that one country.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

I would say that it's not always the case. In Xenoblade Chronicles X, for example, the english voice acting is without any doubt way better than the original.

Yep definitely waiting until a sale or deal before picking up this game, and I also hope this sells less than Awakening in hopes that'll get their heads out their bottoms.

You've gotta be kidding me... just... wow...
It won't make the game worse by any means, but I'm already annoyed by this.

I think lots of people in here are forgetting about the new features and changes they made to the game. But I don't blame you guys. The media would love to report things getting removed than the things that has been added or changed.

I guess Nintendo should add the Japanese audio for the next Pokemon and Mario games then!!!

+ If you guys didn't know, Awakening had quite less amount of Voice Acting. They mostly say a single word or a sound effect for every text box. Most of the times you only hear them say the full sentence during the cut scenes.

I'm surprised Awakening had. I never even noticed.

The thing is, portable games have storage limitations. To include those tracks they need to drive up the costs. Its simply not worth it.

Its different from a Bluray disc.

A lot of Vita games have it. In fact, there are Vita ports of PS3 games which have it while the original versions, on blu ray, did not

The 3DS isn't as powerful as the Vita.............

It all depends on the storage size of the game.

Though tbh... i can't think of any Ps3 game with dual audio on Vita. Wich one/s did you have in mind?

All the Atelier games were english-only on PS3 and dual audio on Vita, for example
