Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What Wii U/3DS game should i give a try?

Please someone, tell me a really good lesser known game i can get on 3DS or Wii U. It can be an eshop game, or a physical game.  Are there any franchises that you want more recognition? if so tell me, and i would be happy to try those games out

Try the entire Professor Layton series. Underrated. It's fabulous. The story is pure beauty, and the puzzles are enjoyable.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Maru's mission on gameboy. Download it on your 3ds. It's a really fun platforming game with awesome music and crazy mechanics. You can walk on the ceiling, for example.
I first saw the game on the eshop when it came out and got it immediately because I used to play it when it was new. Needless to say, it's much easier now that I'm an adult lol but the game was still really fun. The difficulty isn't mind numbingly hard or annoying. There are no cheap deaths. I think it's a very well made game and i would highly recommend it if you're looking for something odd to play

It depends on what you like. For example there are plenty of Atlus games on 3DS that I love and they have several offers in the eShop like SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked, Conception II, EO Untold The Millenium Girl, Code of Princess and SMT Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (an excellent Sega Saturn port). For the Wii U I don't know if it's a lesser game but it didn't sell like it deserves: The Wonderful 101. I want more SMT games and a sequel to TW101.

Wii U
The Wonderful 101
The Legend of Kay Anniversary - It's a great game gameplay wise, voice acting is so bad though... That's my only complaint about it. But definitely worth it for$20
Rodea the Sky Soldier. Technically the Wii game, but I played the Wii U version and actually liked it. I thought it needed more skill to play, it also helped I went into it with an open mind and didn't play the Wii version first.

As for the 3DS, Roderic mentioned a lot of RPG's. I agree with him, I have most of those titles. Each one needs more recognition. I prefer the SMT games though. Also check out Stella Glow. Amazing game.

That is actually a good idea for demos^

@ OP
Dktf I am told.

DKTF is tropical freeze right? Well. Its one of my fave games of all time. excellent game.

I mean, I'll always recommend SMT:IV on 3DS. A very flawed, but very very good game. It's always on sale, so take advantage when you see it. It will turn you into an Atlus fan the same way it turned me.

Unless you don't like challenging RPGs. Then maybe not.

Agree!

Also Lego City Underground, both on Wii U and 3DS. It is not the best in tech (draw distance, framerate etc) but it is a constantly funny sandbox game. It is like GTA without violence and just sheer fun. Very funny dialogue!

EDIT: Zen Pinball for very fun skill-based game, with very many different pinball layouts.

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward for the 3ds. It's amazing!! I could go on and on about this game! Just so you know it's a visual novel/puzzle game. Also Gunman Clive and VVVVVV (if you don't already own it on PC) are nice eshop games worth considering.

For Wii U I would say Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, and Runbow. Runbow is more enjoyable when playing with others but it's still fun nonetheless.

SMTIV. It's a highly underrated game in my opinion.Persona Q is great too. Buy any Atlus RPG game on the 3DS, they're all worth it. Also, on the WiiU, there are some great indie games, like Affordable Space Adventures, Scram Kitty, Stick it to the Man...
