The first season of Prison Break is the best season I've ever seen for any show but unfortunately they really dropped the ball with the third and fourth seasons.

Perhaps the writers strike?

I thought the same thing of Heroes... Season 1 on it's own is epic and may have put the series in my top five had seaosn 2 & 3 not been made (despite trying three times now I cannot get past mid season 3, it just gets boring)
