Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Kimishima: More large scale 3DS game announcements coming, wants more Wii U titles like Splatoon and Mario Maker

Thats because HD games aren't made in 6 months... and because strokes of genious like splatoon aren't easy to make.

A metroid maker could be cool, for example.

And yes, the NX is probably gonna left field everyone that didn't want to listen to what Nintendo was/is saying.

I think more mid-tier titles like Pokken, Splatoon, and Mario Maker that emerged (or potentially in the case of Pokken) as big hits and as platforms in their own way will be more probable for Nintendo. They can only do so much at this point when it comes to developing their big hits for both 3DS and Wii U. Even though they've already merged their handheld and home console divisions, a huge AAA Nintendo game will not be done within a short time span. They have Zelda U and Star Fox Zero in development right now, but even Zero is being outsourced.

At least 3DS can potentially have a few more big hits that we may not know yet for this year, especially with Pokemon having its 20th anniversary celebration.

We'll just have to wait and see.

It's always sad to read these made up things. Zero is co-developed, not outsourced.

My apologizies for that mistake.

Big Scale 3DS games... But positive reception for Wii U games. Ok...

Big Scale 3DS games are easier and faster to make than Big Scale Wii U games. Especially if the NX is going to release this year <----- Which MOST PEOPLE  HERE is thinking it would be.

Pocky Lover Boy!

What could it be..... come on Nintendo tell US.

big scaled 3DS games doesn't mean anything. The 3DS successor could, and most likely will, still launch this year. Remember the GBA? It got Fire Emblem and Mother 3 after the DS was launched. Remember the DS? It got Pokemon Black2/White2 after the 3DS was launched. I can see a similiar scenario here.

I would wait until Nintendo's official Q&A translation comes up, the translator from your source even said:

Most of what the question asked is over my head and there will be an official translation in a few days, but it was essentially about the next financial period, and how Wii U and 3DS factors into that.

Still it's good to get a sneak peek.

I'm honestly floored at the idea of there being more 3DS games. Five years and still getting first party software? Bring it on!

Though this makes wonder even more what NX could be or when it's going to launch.

sounds like we should be getting the announced of the next Pokemon game.within the next month.

Well, if what they say about the 3DS is true, that is good news to know. I hope they have a few more great titles to pump out before they potential retire the system. And even if it's just a few more, I wouldn't mind having more games to play on the Wii U, haha..

Most definitely a new Pokemon game. Nintendo would not let the 20 year anniversary go by without a major release.

I can see 3DS and Wii U keeping their momentum with good price cuts. Like wii u mini for $150 and n3ds for $99.
