Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Kimishima: More large scale 3DS game announcements coming, wants more Wii U titles like Splatoon and Mario Maker

True, but perhaps his comments on Splatoon demonstrate a greater willingness to take risks with new IP's...
Or maybe it means nothing at all...

Have a nice day...

This is making me wary of NX. It might not be that console that we all wanted but as Iwata stated, a supplement to Wii U and 3DS. I'm scared...very scared. I know Kimishima wants to appease Wii U owners but wanting large scale games takes time which means longer shelf life for Wii U and 3DS. The fact that there are un-announced 3DS/Wii U games that they haven't talked about makes me think NX isn't what we think it is or NX isn't coming out this year. I personally think it's both.

He only statedlarge projects for 3DS, not for WiiU, so NX more than likely a home console.

I think more mid-tier titles like Pokken, Splatoon, and Mario Maker that emerged (or potentially in the case of Pokken) as big hits and as platforms in their own way will be more probable for Nintendo. They can only do so much at this point when it comes to developing their big hits for both 3DS and Wii U. Even though they've already merged their handheld and home console divisions, a huge AAA Nintendo game will not be done within a short time span. They have Zelda U and Star Fox Zero in development right now, but even Zero is being outsourced.

At least 3DS can potentially have a few more big hits that we may not know yet for this year, especially with Pokemon having its 20th anniversary celebration.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Thats because HD games aren't made in 6 months... and because strokes of genious like splatoon aren't easy to make.

A metroid maker could be cool, for example.

And yes, the NX is probably gonna left field everyone that didn't want to listen to what Nintendo was/is saying.

It's always sad to read these made up things. Zero is co-developed, not outsourced.

He's a banker. I'm weary of everything he says until his record can back up his words.

I wouldn't be so sure. Nx could be anything. So far we haven't heard anything accurate about it.

see nintendo the reason why the 3ds was declining in 2015 was lack of core software especially near the holidays most games were niece games and spinoffs

But he wants games like Splatoon and Mario Maker...those are some pretty big AAA games that will be sure to take time to develop.

Big Scale 3DS games... But positive reception for Wii U games. Ok...
