Taylor Swift has a place in mobile game world
Smartphone game maker Glu Mobile knows how to get the stars. Its latest partner: Taylor Swift.
The San Francisco-based publisher, known for mobile games such Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and Diner Dash, is working on a new release with the multi-platinum and multi-Grammy winning recording artist due later this year. Swift and Glu have a multi-year partnership, Glu chairman and CEO Niccolo de Masi announced Wednesday.
“Bringing with her over 227 million social followers, I am thrilled to welcome Taylor Swift, an award-winning singer, musician and songwriter, to Glu’s family,” he said in a statement.
Swift is no newbie to interactive software. Her Amex Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience app won an Emmy last year.
“We realize that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience,” de Masi said in his statement. “Glu is equally committed to designing never before seen gameplay elements that utilize Taylor’s unique creativity. Accordingly, we will spend the required development time to ensure this innovation is achieved.”
