Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Final Fantasy Explorers in the UK must of really exceeded expectations - Out of Stock everywhere

Well Final Fantasy Explorers finally launched on 29th Feb and I was looking at the Final Fantasy Explorers sales last weekend and on Amazon it was out of stock on the Saturday afternoon so I took a look at several more big UK online retailers and they were all out of stock also, GAME hasd it instock still but by Monday morning I noticed it was out of stock now and that my local stores as well as several others nearby according to the website were also out of stock.

Its now Friday evening and all these sites and store are STILL out of stock for Final Fantasy Explorers, That's all the big online retailers been out of strock for 5-6 days and almost a full shipment sell through in only 2 days with no new shipment of games yet to be seen.

Just curious was this just the UK that was really under estimated and recieved a really small shipment or did anywhere else in Europe end up like this or even US?

I've pre-ordered Final Fantasy explorers in Amazon US. I didn't get my pre-ordered and was delayed for 2 days. Amazon really emailed me that there isn't any stock available then asked me if I still want it. After confirming it I've got a new delivery date.

To answer your question - maybe. Or the number of copies are only a few.. Hence it was out of stock.

here in the u.s. its been out of stock at walmart and gamestop here

Weather the copies shipped were massive or low I'd class it as exceeding expectation if it sells through the initial shipment in a few days

There will be stock soon at gamestop as the game will be traded in. Massively uninspiring and boring. It's like they took heroes of ruin and put a final fantasy coat on it and called it a day.

think its like this worldwide... they didnt make enough copies of the game.

I think they've already known that there would be shortage. That doesn't necessarily mean that the game is performing better than expected. Maybe it's, but maybe it's just another Devil's Third type of thing.

I hope it's just the game being more popular than expected, and not a very low initial print.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

No, its a very low initial print.

Guys its kinda obvious that SE was being iffy about a western release. It took a looong time for this game to be announced for the west, Nearly a year after Jpn announcement. Thats aloooot for a FF game.
