Yeah, that's totally what we need. A x86 console without either third or first party support whatsoever, on top of that crappy online support. It's like combining each and every negative of Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo into one console. What could possibly go wrong?

Considering the state of Sega's software output and distrust of 3rd parties, the droughts on that console would be abysmal. They would make WiiU's droughts look like PS4 levels of support.

Have it play all my dreamcast games, and I am 100% in. My dreamcasts keep going bad after 2 years, making me buy a new one. (one I have right now keeps shutting down while playing Shenmue and other games)

Can't support a console with that sadly. But its nice they are receptive. Maybe a colaboration with one of the other 3 manufacturers could be interesting. But either way, SEGA needs to up their game.

They should just start making dreamcast hardware again.

Isn´t the idea to relaunch the Dreamcast as Dreamcast 2, and offer all the old games as digital downloads with HDMI support, modern controllers and wireless internet connectivity? So it would use the existing library, and get some new games by different independent developers.

It will not be a huge product but it´s an excellent idea since it has worked well with consoles like the genesis, snes or nes in rereleases like Retron 5 or Super Retro Trio.

If it´s priced right, it can definitly get a pretty huge fanbase. There are still releases now and then for the system aswell.
