Everyone's a little bit racist.

I completly agree. Its only a problem when it affects how we treat others. I belive we are allowed to hate any group we want, as long as we dont discriminate them. Hate them, dont friend them, dont date them, stay away from them, its all fine. Just dont attack them, dont get in their way, let them be.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Frankly, if you're genuinely being accused of racism, you're probably doing something wrong and you probably know exactly what it is you've done. Just stop doing that. Semantics don't matter at that point.

People are so protective of their right to be insensitive dicks. If you said something that genuinely offended someone else, just apologize and stop saying it. Know your audience and don't say something potentially offensive to someone who's audience you aren't familiar with. Look outside your ego for a second and stop defending you're right to offend.

This doesn't go for just racism. It's everything. It doesn't matter if you don't believe in God. Don't be a dick to Christians. Don't believe in the gender pay gap? Not an excuse to be an ass to women who do. Don't like Donald Trump? Not an excuse to shit on Trump supporters.

Just be nice, guys.

Well said.

What?Hating them, don't friend them and don't date them?Is that not discriminating against them? That sounds a he'll lot like something a racist would do.

I think what he's saying is that racists are allowed to feel however they want about people, they just shouldn't make it other peoples problem.

It's gotten quite ridiculous. Nowdays I'll see people bashing whites without ease, usually with an excuse such as "white privilege" or "just a joke". Yet, when a white person does the same, they'll quickly be labeled as racist.

I think all of us have rascist tendencies, conscious or subconsciously. It´s most likely biologically imprinted in our genome, to categorize and assess the world around us and always assess the threat level of other people. And we find open rascism within all groups of people, no matter the color.

But the thing is, history has been fortunate for caucasian people. We are not more intelligent than any other group, we don´t have any extra skill. But many of our ancestors have been succesful in invading other nations, or having slaves. So the "white privilege" is a historical heritage that has formed the society we live in today. And even though we, in a lot of ways, have leveled the playing field when it comes to legal rights, it takes a lot longer for people´s minds to change and for them to look at other people as equals. If the roles had been reversed and people from africa had established prescence in the US and gotten slaves from Europe, we would have been talking about "black privilege" today.

I think everyone should be able to bash everyone no matter what color of their skin, but we need to understand why opposition toward what white people say about black people is so strong sometimes.

By this way of thinking, every religious person on the planet is guilty of every transgression and violent, horrific act carried out in the name of their respective faiths throughout history.  So, all Christians, Catholics, and Muslims are racist, woman hating, pedophiles.  Generalizations and Sins of the Father mentality are lovely, aren't they?

The thing that utterly pisses me off about this, is that I'm not rich, I've never been rich, my family was pretty poor when I was growing up, and we've never experienced this 'white privilege' you refer to.  My stepfather drove a fucking moped to work, in Vermont, through winters so he could put food on our table.  Fuck anyone saying he was privileged.

Using labels such as racist, nazi, feminazi, SJW, etc. is so much easier than constructing proper arguments, that's why they get abused so much. Just ignore the ones that does it a lot because chances are they're the kind of people who won't respond well to being argued against anyway.

I understand what you're saying, but do you not realize the depth of the stupidity it is to try and reprimand people living today for the transgressions of society over the course of time?  It's ludicrous to even suggest 'white privilege' as far as I'm concerned.   Where does that rabbit hole end?  You can't take back history, you can't go back 2,000 years and make brown and white and every shade inbetween of person equal.    You say white privilege, I say that the world has been largely homogenized at different parts of the globe and we simply suggest that because the 'Caucasian' nations have largely been more successful by their own merit alone.  (Europe, USA, Canada, Other northern nations - Primarily Caucasian), (Africa, Primarily Black), (Asia - Primarily Asian), South America (Primarily Hispanic).

All you can do,  is to ensure that the dynamics of society today do not exclude people.   That's it.   People using white privilege at an attempt to deflect problems in their life are simply living a life of delusion and are part of the problem not the solution.  The white privilege concept does nothing but stir racial emotions in a negative context and further create divides.

Life isn't fair and the sooner people get over that fact and adjust accordingly the better.

I agree. I Googled Donald Trump and it turned up 254,000,000 results.

You have to realise that the left relies on emotion and not logic. They use words like racist, homophobic, transphobic, fat shaming etc to shut down debate. It is becoming increasingly hard to have a discussion or debate with a leftist that is based on logic and fact.Universities are now one big "safe space" and many famous comedians like Seinfeld and Chris Rock refuse to perform at campuses across the USA.
