People who misuse the word are often either uneducated or are unintelligent enough to understand what the word "racist" means and how heavy of an accusation it is to call someone a racist.

Actually nowadays it's a means of no-platforming individuals who happen to disagree with someone else.  It's a very simple concept, you control the narrative and the discussion by labeling any dissenter as a racist, a bigot, a homophobe, islamophobe, misogynist, etc...  It's a very easy way to ruin someone's credibility because all people hear is the negative term, and automatically assume it's validity (because most, I think, wouldn't throw the term around so casually).

I don't consider myself to be a racist in a pure sense, I mean that I don't think that people are superior or inferior because of the place they were born or their genetic and phenotypic features such as skin color. I'm more of a "cultural-ist" if you will... by that I mean that I will strongly judge people or entire social groups by their ideology, in my case I will judge what I consider irrational ideology such as racism itself. It is true that there is awful stuff in people from all cultures, some more than others, but there's also good people from all cultures and social groups. Some of that good people grew up in an irrational culture, but at least the people who are smart have the ability to tell right from wrong and the free will to free themselves from the irrational ideology they were raised in.

It's clear that you're a misogynist.

Is that satirical?

the -ist (sexist, racist, etc.) words in general are overused nowadays.

It's okay to bash white people, it's okay to trash men, but god forbid you say anything negative about an Aboriginal or a woman, you're suddenly savaged by SJWs. I consider myself a rather left-wing person, but the world has become PC to a ridiculous, and I personally think, unsustainable extent.

Ugh, must you be so sexist towards women? You activated my anti-Bill Cosby Jutsu. I now must enter my made-up "safe zone" as I cry from psychological wounds made by a stranger.

And if you question my methods, I will call you a nazi and KKK supporter. I'll also exaggerate your viewpoints and claim you support Bill Cosby

Frankly, if you're genuinely being accused of racism, you're probably doing something wrong and you probably know exactly what it is you've done. Just stop doing that. Semantics don't matter at that point.

People are so protective of their right to be insensitive dicks. If you said something that genuinely offended someone else, just apologize and stop saying it. Know your audience and don't say something potentially offensive to someone who's audience you aren't familiar with. Look outside your ego for a second and stop defending you're right to offend.

This doesn't go for just racism. It's everything. It doesn't matter if you don't believe in God. Don't be a dick to Christians. Don't believe in the gender pay gap? Not an excuse to be an ass to women who do. Don't like Donald Trump? Not an excuse to shit on Trump supporters.

Just be nice, guys.

Not true.

I will use if i see you being one. It's just a word. And it's not about being called it, it's how you react to being called it. We are all a little racist. So instead of whining about it see why you were called it and see if you can be more accepting of what you are being insensitive to.

A lot of bad things happened in the past and now. And the people who did the awful things had no action against them and they just keep draging down the people they enslaved. Or killed through disease.

So take being called something that won't change much about you unless you are one.

There are genuine racists out there, but the term gets thrown around waaaaay too easily these days by people that are just looking to shout down those who hold different views than their own.

As for myself, I'd love to say that I don't have a single racist bone in my body... but that would be a lie.

My funny bone is EXTREMELY racist. I love me some good race / ethnic jokes.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

This thread is racist to abusive people!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
